 NPC hack/raid

I'm not sure if this topic has occured before but I'll bring it up anyway.

What if we could hack and raid NPCs? This is what I had in mind:

Limit:
One Hack and/or Raid only for one NPC!
The hacks and raids do not contribute to your successful hacks/raids!

Hacking: (Need cloak to hack)

Possible Targets:
Rouge Science League
The Sha'din Coalition
The Stryll Order
The Crimson Blades
The Lazuli Syndicate

Possible Points gained/lost:
Hack Successful: Research Points gained scaled to the rank of the NPC
Critical Hack Successful: 2x-4x Research Points gained scaled to the rank of NPC
Critical Hack Successful (2): Normal points gained with a random planet put in database
Hack Unsuccessful: No research points gained.
Hack Unsuccessful (2): Research Points taken by NPC. (These points are lost and cannot be taken back)
Critical Hack Unsuccessful: 2x-4x Research points taken by NPC
Critical Hack Uncuccessful (2): Normal points lost with one random planet (Unoccupied) purged from your database. (This does not contribute to successful planetary scan rates)
Critical Hack Unsuccessful (3): No points lost but take massive damage (scaled to your rank) and cloak -99.99%!

Raid: (Need crew members)

Possible Targets:
Dark Smugglers Guild
The Crimson Blades
Lazuli Sydicate
The Terran Outsiders
The Drannik Automatons
The Mylari Mining Guild

Possible Rewards:
Raid Successful: Minerals/Artifact points gained. (Based on rank of NPC)
Critical Raid Successful: An Artifact is put in your cargo.
Critical Raid Successful (2): You find a stash of minerals! (Based on Rank of you)
Critical Raid Successful (3): You find a cabin. It contains Crew members!
Massive Critical Raid Successful: 2x-4x artifact/mineral points and took out a hull/shield module of the NPC, -25% hull/-25% shields
Raid Unsuccessful: You get nothing!
Raid Unsuccessful (2): Artifact/mineral points are taken from you
Critical Raid Unsuccessful: One random aritfact (no special or mission or purchased, etc) is taken from your cargo.
Critical Raid Unsuccessful (2): 2x-4x Mineral/artifacts points stolen.
Critical Raid Unsuccessful (3): Normal points stolen but a Crew member was killed.
Massive Critical Raid Unsuccessful: 2x-4x points stolen, one random artifact stolen (no special or mission or purchased, etc), crew members killed.

Maybe a new crew type:

Tactical NPC Raider
Tactical NPC Hacker

Tactical NPC raider helps with raiding but has a high chance of casualty.
Tactical NPC Hacker helps with Hacking but has a high chance of casualty.

New Artifact:
Crew Cabin
Cost: 10,000 AP
Definition: A cabin to hold captives and/or crew members.
Reward: 10 random crew members
Requirements: Cabin Key

Cabin Key
Cost: 2500 AP
Def: A key to open a Crew Cabin
Reward: Open a Crew Cabin
Requirements: Different keys require one or more of one or more types of minerals to open doors.

Tactical Cabin:
Cost: 12500 AP
Def: A bunker designed for Tactical Crew members
Reward: 15 random Tactical crew Members
Requirements: Cabin Security Card

Cabin Security Card
Cost: 5000 AP
Def: A special card to open security passlock doors
Reward: Open Tactical Cabins
Requirements: None
SPECIAL: Rare Keys give access to a hidden room in the cabin! (Suggestions needed!)

Disaster Bunkers
Cost: 5000 AP
Def: Houses a number of people on a planet to protect.
Size: 1
Defense: +200 defense
Limit: 2 per planet

I like these ideas! But if Hacking and Raiding is added to NPC's, how will that affect the battle market?

One little note about the bunkers as well: bunkers are generally designed to temporarily protect the existing population from a disaster, so I would suggest giving it a defensive bonus as well as/instead of the population bonus.

I would also expand your list of possible targets to include the Crimson Blades and the Lazuli Syndicate, since they are criminal organisations that could be juicy targets for hacks and raids of this type. You could even expand it and give them the ability to hack or raid NPC's as their special bonus, although a question would then arise over the use of artifacts if you later decided to play as a different race.

As I said in the Limit's section, these hacks and raids do no contribut to the successful hacks and raids, therefore do no contribute to the battle market. (unless suggested to do so)

Quite right. I shall update the Tactical Bunkers and change the population bunkers to a new chassis that provides defensive bonus.

Every single race can hack/raid NPCs but the criminal races that you can unlock, such as The Lazuli and the Zolazin. The Lazuli can get a bonus raid (2 raids instead of one) and the Zolazin can get a bonus hack (2 hacks instead of one)[Because of their 40%+ cloak). I am also updating the targets you can hack/raid.

Does anybody have any suggestions for the hidden room in the Tactical Cabin using a rare key?

I had in mind: (You don't choose these, the game picks randomly)

Common: (70%) (Game chooses one randomly)
Stash of rare minerals
Stash of research points (scaled to your rank)
10-15 extra crew members (random)
Stash of Credits (Scaled to your rank)
Stash of EXP (1/5 of total amount needed to rank up is gained)

Uncommon: (35%) (Game chooses one randomly)
Database (one random common-uncommon planet)
5 extra rank points
Stash of energy (half of total energy refilled)
15% bonus to a random type of stat (attack, defense, cloak, etc.)

Rare:(10%) (Game chooses one randomly)
Super Database (one random rare planet)
Energy Cube
Tri-Matrix Emblem
One rank leveled up
One rare-Extremely rare NPC

Extremely Rare: (2%) (Game chooses one randomly)
Supercomputer (One random extremely rare planet)(Cannot be a Dyson)
5-10 GP gained
Energy Cube (3 charges)

Mythical: (.5%) (Game chooses one randomly)
(You suggest these rewards!)
