Mission Briefing

We've pored through the data you recovered from the Deepspike ships, which contained the information we were looking for. The Litheor hid the beacon within the core of a planet in a small system outside our borders. The beacon must be destroyed.

Mission Dialogue

Prepare your ship.

Should we expect any resistance in the area near the beacon?

Not at first. The Litheor clearly did not want any attention in that system... Their ships are stationed elsewhere.

They were smart to hide the beacon inside the core as it will not be easy to access it

True. Though our mining technology is advanced, reaching the core would still take a long time. Litheor technology, however, is well suited to the task.

Interesting. Did you find any such technology in their database ?

Yes... The Litheor use a transmutative process to travel through the subsurface. It is documented in vivid detail.

How long would it take to modify our structures to use that method ?

Not long. We should be able to adapt a similar technique to expanding a tunnel using repulsor charges.

Good. We will provide whatever supplies we have.

The Litheor will likely descend upon your location soon after arrival. Do whatever it takes to destroy the beacon... at any cost.

Understood. Was there any other information about their plans in the data ?

Oddly, no... Most of the entries just dealt with construction orders. Perhaps only a few privileged Litheor are aware of the Seedshard's true intent.

You don't find that strange ?

I do. It certainly raises some new questions.

... and some doubts.

We need to stay focused on the mission. This isn't the time to question the Vaash's story.

We can blockade the planet first ... then confront Te'vul.

No, we are out of time. We'll deal with the ambassador and the rest of the Litheor after the mission. For now, you have your orders.
