i use 'attack strength' for the standard strength formula of (attack + defense) / rank

i use 'defense strength' for sumwunn's formula of:

(((attack+defense+hull+shields)/damage cap)/rank)*100=ship strength ratio

Very cool, senatorhung. Elerian's ship is crazy o.O

basically ships that are focusing on SSB and damage cap will appear higher up on the defense strength bar, while glass cannons that focus on attack without defense will appear as glass cannons on the bottom right ... however, the higher the rank, the more tendency to drift down to the bottom right, so someone like mento is far far away from being a glass cannon (plus his datapoint is from months ago).

elerian looks to be in the best shape ... very high attack strength for his rank, while also very high defense strength ... likely due to slow ranking. chiaroscuro is a better at maximizing the benefit of the ssb on defense, but has not yet had the arti production to boost attack strength as much via tactical officers.

so, taking this chart into consideration with the other comparison charts that i have done in the ship log showdown:

indicates that slow-ranking has its place if you are looking to be defensive-minded, but less so if you are attack-minded. defense helps those who are still pvp-ing at lower ranks, but attack is much better for those at higher ranks, so you can see the trend from top-left to bottom-right, with higher ranked players tending to drift downwards diagonally.

and in response to asdfgr's query, pm's will be ignored (especially since i have you forum-blocked), but also from anyone else. these charts all just use publicly available information. if you are not willing to share with the community, i'm not interested in using your data. the charts that i have put up will allow you to see how you are doing in comparison to others ... to me, that is enough.

and to chia: yeah, i wasn't sure if you would like it or be offended, but i'm glad you like it i adjusted some of the datapoints - green hulk for Golgotha, rusty-coloured square for RustyTinCan, orange for Firekas, blue and white for JediPotato (infinity colours), triangle for atlas, star shape for Nova149, etc. couldn't personalize everyone, but i did fiddle with it. i also just added some more lines to the chart (since log charts in excel are finicky with axis labels) so that relative values were more clear.

so, other than more pilots on the chart, what else would folks like to see ?
