Event Summary
The Scruuge are a sect of radical idealists, motivated by greed and deeply envious of others. The Scruuge claim that the galaxy is too overpopulated, and they directly interfere with trade and government aid programs, especially during busy seasonal trade cycles. Ships are asked to engage and reclaim any gifts taken by the Scruuge if found.
During the Scruuge event 2017 (December 6 - 27), the following temporary effects apply to the entire Galaxy:
* The Scruuge will sometimes blockade random planets. Scruuge Hijacker * Planetary scans have a chance to reveal a 'Scruuge Keystone' or 'Scruuge Keystone II Upgrade'. * Completing Daily missions will sometimes reward a bonus 'Scruuge Resupply Depot'.

During the Scruuge event 2015 (December 5 - 26), the following temporary effects apply to the entire Galaxy:
* The Scruuge will sometimes blockade random planets. Scruuge Hijacker * Planetary scans have a chance to reveal a 'Scruuge Keystone'. * The cooldown for gifting artifacts is reduced by half.
During the Scruuge Event 2014, the following temporary effects applied to the entire Galaxy:
* The Scruuge will sometimes blockade random planets. Scruuge Hijacker * Sending materials or artifacts costs 60 energy per shipment. * The cooldown for gifting artifacts is reduced by half.
