Artifacts
Artifacts are special items that can have many time-limited effects on ships (both yours AND the ships of other players) and planets (also yours and other players). These effects range from lowering and boosting Attack and Defense to resetting your Raiding, Hacking, Repair, and Trade abilities. Learning how to use artifacts to their full potential is imperative to your success in Galaxy Legion.

Acquiring Artifacts
Artifacts can be acquired in one of five ways:
1. Accumulation from planets. This is the main way that most common artifacts are gained. You can accumulate artifact points from the planets that you own, and trade them in at any time for an artifact shipment. This may be done via the trade page. There is a list of the artifacts that are available via this method further down the page in the "common artifacts" section. Note that you cannot get an artifact that costs more than your total points at the time you accept a shipment, so if you want a specific artifact, don't cash in an artifact shipment unless you have enough stored up! Shipments are also completely random; you are not guaranteed to get the highest level artifact you can afford. You will however only trade in the exact cost of an individual artifact, as listed in the table below.
2. Raiding. If you raid an enemy player's ship, you can steal artifact points that you can use for an artifact shipment (see below).
3. Buy specific artifacts with Galaxy Points. You can buy most artifacts with Galaxy Points. Some artifacts are ONLY available by spending Galaxy Points, although these artifacts are not necessary for playing the game; they simply make it easier to play in some way. The green "Buy Artifact" button is near the top of the Trade page. There is a second "Buy Artifacts" button if you click on the "Redeem Points" link when you have Galaxy Points that you want to spend.
4. Mission completion rewards. You have a small chance to get artifacts when you undertake certain missions (They will state the chance of receiving an artifact and the rarity of the artifact). Also, certain missions automatically give artifacts after each completion.
5. Combat rewards. Certain NPCs drop artifacts when they are defeated. If the NPC was shared to legion members, artifacts will only be given to the top few players that dealt the most damage (A blue padlock symbol will display next to their name if the attacker is guaranteed to receive a reward due to the amount of damage they have dealt)
Artifact List
Common Artifacts
Common artifacts are artifacts that can be acquired through cashing in your hourly artifact hauls from planets. Save up your hourly artifact hauls if you want a chance to get more expensive artifacts. The table below shows the cost of these artifacts. Also note that many of these artifacts can be bought from the Artifact Market for Galaxy Points.

Dyson Transformer | Turns any Metallic planet into a Dyson Sphere. Requires 50 energy to use.
All Resources will permanently increase to 28x Mega Rich, the planet will increase to Colossal size, and it will gain 10,000 Passive Attack, Defense, and Cloak. Note 1: Use the Dyson Transformer on the smallest, resource-poorest metallic planet you can find for best effect. The Dyson created will get the above stats no matter what its stats were before; whether it's Tiny and Sparse or Colossal and Mega-Rich, it will always become a Colossal 28x Mega Rich Dyson. So the smaller and sparser the original planet, the bigger the improvement/benefit will be. Note 2: The passive Attack, Defense, and Cloaking stats were added in the Christmas 2010 update. If you used the Dyson Transformer to create a Dyson before this update, contact the developers to have the passive bonuses added to your planet. Only the original creator of the planet can request the passive bonuses be added; the developers will NOT add the bonuses to planets that have since been invaded. Note 3: Any existing passive bonuses that the planet has before it is Dyson-transformed will be retained on top of the +10,000 passive attack, defense, and cloaking bonuses, making the planet even better. It will also receive legion bonus stats just like all of your other planets, meaning the planets total attack, defense and cloak bonuses can each be well over 20,000 before you even build a single weapon, defense module, or cloaking satellite. Note 4: Make sure you use a Flux Probe on your planet BEFORE you use the Dyson Transformer. If someone has already scanned the planet before you use the Dyson Transformer, they will still be able to see it after you use it. And that opens the planet up to attack! It IS still possible for someone to conquer a planet that has 10,000 attack and defense! | The Colossal Project | 1 |
Exo-Rift Repulsor | [Trap - 2 Weeks] When applied, a ship that attacks the target planet has a chance to cause that planet to be immune to artifacts for 24 hours. | Exo-Rift Expansion | 20 |

Hyper-Terraformer Device | Transforms a planet into an Exotic World, and boosts its passive defenses significantly. (All Resources = 13x Mega Rich, Size = Massive, Passive Attack/Defense/Cloak = 10,000) Note 1: if the planet is already larger than Massive, the planet will actually shrink in size, so do not use on a Very Massive or bigger planet. Note 2: The Exotic created will get these stats no matter what its stats were before, whether it's a Tiny, Sparse, Barren planet or a Colossal, Mega-Rich Oceanic. It is therefore best to use the Hyper-Terraformer on your WORST colonised planet to get the biggest benefit. Note 3: The passive Attack, Defense, and Cloaking stats were added in the Christmas 2010 update. If you used the Hyper-Terraformer before then, contact the developers to have the passive bonuses added to your planet. Only the original creator of the planet can request the passive bonuses be added; the developers will NOT add the bonuses to planets that have been invaded. Note 4: Any existing passive bonuses that a planet has before it is Hyper-terraformed will be retained on top of the +10,000 Passive Attack, Defense, and Cloaking bonuses, making the planet even better. Volcanic planets can receive large passive attack bonuses from Eruption Channellers for instance, so ensure the planet is maxed out on these bonuses first. It will also receive legion bonus stats just like all of your other planets, meaning the Exotics' total attack, defense and cloak bonuses can each be well over 20,000 before you even build a single weapon, defense module, or cloaking satellite! Note 5: Any existing modules on the planet that require a specific planet type will continue to work. It is therefore a very good idea to use the Hyper-terraformer on a planet that already has one of these. Examples include the Quantum Hydro-Meliorator (Oceanic) and the Permafrost Sub-network (Arctic). Note 6: Make sure you use a Flux Probe on your planet BEFORE you use the Hyper-Terraformer. If someone has already scanned the planet before you use the Hyper-Terraformer, they will still be able to see the planet after you use it. And that opens the planet up to attack! | The Terra Project | 1 |

Planetary Aegis | A special and rare artifact that provides a powerful shield around a planet for 5 days.
Provides 5000 planet defence. The Planetary Aegis is a one-time artifact obtained when joining the game. Only one is available per player. Once used, you will not receive another one, even if you reset your account. Note: if one of your planets is under attack, it may be better to use a Planet Flux instead of your Planetary Aegis. The Aegis lasts for 5 days, and it is perfectly possible for a high-level player to break through even this powerful shield and invade your planet. Fluxing the planet removes it from ALL other players scans, preventing them from continuing their attacks and invading. Note that it is possible for people to re-scan the planet again at a later date, however. Building cloak satellite structures on the planet will reduce the chances of the planet being found by other players after it has been fluxed. However, weapons and shield systems are significantly more space-efficient than cloaking systems. It may actually be better to defend your planet well than to try to hide it. | Rank 1 | Game Start | Image |
