The Raix Effect: Chapter 4
The war between the Tej-Sheel and the Tej-Brask continues to escalate. As lines are drawn, further investigations reveal that both sides are willing to ally with just about anyone to gain an advantage, including enemies of the %Race government. Leaders feel that choosing a side may be the best option given the circumstances...
Current Voting Results: Allied with Tej Sheel
Daily Mission Briefing
We grow concerned over this war between the Tej-Brask and the Tej-Sheel. In their desperation, they are frantically seeking out potential allies, and that could potentially include our enemies. We need to decide how to control the situation appropriately.
Mission Dialog
Krydul: There is plenty for our enemies to gain if they join in this fight.
You mean... unfettered access through Tejiar space.
Krydul: Right against our borders.
But this is a civil war. The Tejiar wouldn't want to fight us.
Krydul: With powerful allies joining, it would no longer be a local matter. They will have a hard time maintaining full control once the situation gets hotter. Our enemies will use this as an opportunity... on both sides. We have to get in front of this.
You are suggesting we get involved ?
Krydul: I don't like the idea as much as you, but it would be preferable over the alternatives.
You know that means we'll have to choose a side.
Krydul: Yes.
To be honest, I'm not sure I like either the Tej-Brask or the Tej-Sheel.
Krydul: Our investigations echoed what they typically say about each other... though they both tend to exaggerate a bit.
The Tej-Sheel could still be harboring high yield Raix weapons. Their technology is clearly superior to the other side.
Krydul: Superior, yes. As for the weapons, we aren't sure. It is equally likely that they used their only one. They would certainly have the potential to develop more, but we have no idea what this entails.
The Tej-Brask have deeper Raix reserves and a much larger fleet, but their technology is not as advanced.
Krydul: True. Corruption runs a little deeper with the Tej-Brask as well. Their Raix distribution tends to favor... their elite. However, they are quite disciplined, and their supply will last for a long time.
Which side do you recommend?
Krydul: Unfortunately, there are still too many unknowns. I will let the council decide.
What should we do in the meantime?
Krydul: We'll need to prepare secure locations to coordinate with the Tejiar side we choose.
Of course.
Krydul: Needless to say, we shouldn't trust anyone. Not yet.
