You are the captain of a ship that acts as a sort of privateer for a core galactic alliance. You have license to establish a colony (Planets), and can establish more as you grow in experience. You can join with similar privateers (Legion), or combat others (PvP). You can also engage hostile targets outside the alliance (NPC). You will need to gather Artifacts, Minerals, and Research to aid in your endeavors. How to proceed is up to you.
Galactic Alliance
Founding Members
The galactic alliance starts with a few races that are new to the galactic scene. The galaxy contains numerous older, more powerful races, but these 6 races are eager to explore and grow. Over time, they encounter other races, some of whom join with them, others of whom become enemies.
Aerlen
Aerlen prefer anonymity and try to avoid conflict. Aerlen ships are very agile and difficult to target.
Human
Humans adapt quickly to their surroundings, and fit a wide variety of roles.
Inergon
Inergon are beings capable of absorbing energy from everything around them.
Konqul
The Konqul are a race of rigidly organized soldiers. Konqul attack first and ask questions later.
Sillixx
Sillixx are well known as proficient traders. Their ships are larger than all other races.
Vygoid
The Vygoid replaced most of their original physiology with technology. They have an affinity for all scientific pursuits.
Further Members
Bahreen
Drannik
Genetarr
Kronyn
Lazuli
Litheor
Mylarai
Taltherian
Uldrinan
Xecti
Zolazin
Friendly Non-Members
These factions and races are open to working with the galactic alliance, but are not a core part of the group.
The Chuhn
A group of intergalactic merchants who have entered the galaxy to explore and trade. The Chuhn visited once, long ago, and seem to know a few details about the galaxy's ancient history.
Draymur
A faction of The Elios who are open to trading technology for Neutronium
Corethune
A faction of The Elios who are open to trading protection from their radiation for Heliosynes.
The Tejiar
After the galactic alliance helped them resolve a bitter civil war, the Tejiar asked for help in expanding their Raix infrastructure. In return, they provide some of the produced Raix.
Allies
These allies will join you on your mission (Allies).
Kriell, Tejiar Commander
Once a member of the Tej-Brask, Kriell now works for a unified Tejiar.
Thraccti, Scruuge Defector
A defector from The Scruuge.
Vortov, Hired Mercenary
Vortov is a mercenary who specializes in targets from The Bralkir Clan.
Hostile
These races and factions are hostile toward the galactic alliance, and are considered open targets.
The Bralkir Clan
The Bralkir are notorious for their crude, horrific rituals: some involving sacrifices of other races.
The Cerulean Conclave
Aerlen rebels who believe their government should be more aggressive.
The Crimson Blades
The Crimson Blades are a guild of common thieves, and operate throughout the galaxy.
Dark Smugglers Guild
The Dark Smugglers Guild operate directly within the black market, dealing in illegal goods.
The Drannik Automatons
The Drannik built hundreds of these drones hundreds of centuries ago, and they survived long after they went extinct. Without adjustments to their programming, they have been running wild and replicating throughout the galaxy.
The Hallows Bane
Members of The Hallows Bane come out of hiding only at certain times in the Galactic cycle, looking to harvest unsuspecting ships for their supplies.
The Lazuli Syndicate
The Lazuli Syndicate are notorious for stealing enemy ships.
The Lepus Drones
Named for their discovery in the Lepus Cluster, these drones are bio-mechanical constructs. Each hatchling's body houses unique sensing equipment, and could prove useful if they were captured.
The Octafari
The Octafari came to the galactic alliance seeking protection from the Mylarai. However, it was a ruse, as they provided technology that was a trojan horse for them to take control. They have not caused any problems since their defeat, however.
The Q-Pedds
Q-Pedds are experimental robotic "companions" that escaped due to a major software flaw in their affection algorithms.
Rogue Science League
The Rogue Science League have been in operation for many years. They have been selling trade secrets to our enemies at the highest bid.
The Scruuge
The Scruuge aim to stop charitable trade, in an effort to slow what they believe is "excessive population growth" in the galaxy.
The Sha'din Coalition
Members of the Sha'din are recruited for their well known criminal backgrounds.
Siladon
The largest faction of The Elios. They are not interested in cooperation, or mitigating damage from their migration patterns. Because they are the most common, most references to Elios refer to members of this faction.
The Stryll Order
The Stryll are genetically engineered hunters, used by various races to seek and destroy marked targets. Hiring one is illegal, and various governments have been trying to eliminate their order.
The Terran Outsiders
The Terran Outsiders are a closed band of human colonists that separated from the primary government during the first expansion. They now control a large network of planets, and have been aggressively expanding their borders into our territory.
Locations
Anomalies
The Krionite Vortex
Contains phased gases that can be weaponized to disrupt enemy shields.
Natural Phenomena
Creatures
Akulan Entity
Akulans are typically drawn to nebulae and forming star systems. However, more aggressive breeds also feed on planetary gases and atmospheres, as well as colonies themselves.
Allovore Entity
Allovores seek out and feed on rich metallic sources. Their digestive process is quite destructive not only to planets and colonies that they target, but also to ships that manage to catch their attention.
Chaotic ArcRift Entity
The powerful energy of rift planets sometimes attracts a chaotic phenomenon known as an ArcRift. While the entity remains in the vicinity of the planet, it can cause severe tectonic disturbances.
Kulgox Entity
A spacefaring creature attracted to organic material and a variety of mineral compounds. Left unchecked, it can devastate a planet's economy and infrastructure.
The Silthion Hive
The Silthion Hive was a dominant Species of the Vorigar region, once studied for their strange forms of energy consumption. It's unclear when they evolved to travel through space at such high speeds, or why.
Xathe Vortex Entity
Vortex entities are attracted to other high-energy sources. They appear from a vortex in the Xathe Nebula.
Materials
Corruption
An exotic material created from service to The Oruas Eye.
Exotic Matter
A rare material used in controlling chaotic phenomena.
Minerals
Planets can be mined for a variety of standard minerals.
Neutronium
A heavy amount of extremely dense neutrons held in stasis. Used for advanced structures, equipment, and missions.
Prismodyne Energy
Strange, primordial energy extracted from a Prismodyne source.
Raix
A rare substance with a variety of uses. Created by the Tejiar.
XTS-9
An extremely toxic substance used for advanced structures. Required for high rank missions.
