Daily Mission Briefing
One of our ships, the NV4, briefly detected a pod appearing in range near one of our central mining colonies. Before it could contact it, however, the pod vanished into a rift-like aperture. We are concerned that this may have been an act of espionage.

Rendezvous with the NV4, and investigate the area.
How much data was the NV4 able to collect?
They are already in the process of analyzing the sensor data. Your ship can assist by scanning the surrounding region, especially where the aperture briefly formed.
Did our border sensors and outposts detect anything?
No... nothing... Even with advanced cloaking, reaching the central colonies undetected shouldn't be possible with technology we are aware of. This is quite unusual.
Hopefully the analysis reveals a bit more about the incident...
