Daily Mission Briefing
We've gathered quite a bit of data from the Stryll ships. There is a virus in development, as we suspected, and according to some inter-facility messages, it's nearing completion. Sileena will brief us on the additional details.
Mission Dialogue
Ravyn: We've gathered quite a bit of data from the Stryll ships. There is a virus in development, as we suspected, and according to some inter-facility messages, it's nearing completion. Sileena will brief us on the additional details.
Sileena: I would like more time to gather further intel, but I'm afraid we have to move now.
So we have located the facility?
Sileena: Not... exactly.
What?
Sileena: We've determined a way there, but its exact location is still unknown.
Explain.
Sileena: The Stryll have been using Archotage technology to transport directly to and from the facility once their ships are in range. There are records of such events in their logs.
But, we disabled the relay points. How were they able to get the Archotage running again so soon?
Sileena: The Archotage, as we knew it, is still gone. The Terran Outsiders have only rebuilt a single point of transport entry... but it's obvious that they are planning to recreate the entire network as soon as possible.
But we don't know where the ships went, in this case?
Sileena: No. The ships keep no record of the site, and there aren't any engine or navigation logs to recreate a course. There is still a way to get there, though...
You aren't considering taking the transporter yourself?
Sileena: Of course not... but we could rig a probe to do the same by hijacking a set of transport codes.
It would be discovered immediately upon arrival.
Ravyn: Not one of ours... Sileena and I have used such probes successfully before.
But the Stryll will definitely know something is wrong.
Sileena: The plan is to hijack a set of codes right before a Bioresearch ship initiates the actual transport. To both sides, it will appear as an intermittent malfunction.
Risky. We lose our advantage if they know the location has been compromised.
Sileena: The "malfunction" will certainly rouse suspicion, but there is evidence of similar errors that have occurred before, though very uncommon.
... then the rest will be up to us.
Sileena: Ravyn will assist you in preparing the probe. I'm going to setup the program for extracting the code in real time. Contact me again once the hardware is complete.
Got it.
