Mission Briefing
We've correlated the data gathered from your ship, as well as the scans from the NV4. Both the energy signatures and the pod's structural composition point to only one possibility in our database... the Alarri. Their current location is unknown, however.
What do you think?
The Alarri... what do we know about them?
Not much, I'm afraid. Our contact with them over the years has been seldom and brief. They keep to themselves, and have never had an interest in expanding relations with us. As I mentioned, we are not sure where they are primarily located.
Any idea on what they might have been up to?
There was nothing of significant value in the area where the pod escaped from. It's possible that their target was somewhere else, and they left when they realized they were detected.
And how exactly did they avoid detection that far within our borders?
The scans revealed that two rifts were opened: they arrived through one, and left through another.
There is no anchor or gate in that system. How did they open a rift into that region?
We don't know the answer to that.
Hmm... Any other leads?
Our only interactions with the Alarri have been by chance during visits to various galactic trading outposts. Other merchants there may have had dealings with them, and could provide us some intelligence.
Information like that will not be cheap.
No, but this Alarri technology makes me nervous. This is your top priority, regardless of the expense.
