Daily Mission Briefing
The signaling drones have alerted us to several potential matches to Ja'kell's ship. Its design was not as distinct as I thought, so there are many targets. The drones were able to give accurate predictions of their movements, but we need to act fast.
Mission Dialog:
- The drones are unable to discern which ship belongs to Ja'kell, they are all too similar.
- Care to explain, Valthken?
- The AX9 is one of our most profitable ship designs. There are quite a few used by traders.
- Why didn't you mention this before?
- Mention what? You thought Ja'kell's ship was unique? Did you forget what kind of business we are in? You're supposed to be the experts here.
- Trovar, is it too late to re-calibrate the drones?
- Yes, far too late, and we've already lost valuable time. At this point, I would recommend engaging the targets directly... while we are still able to track them.
- We can't simply threaten or fire on random traders.
- We just need to scan for Ja'kell's bio-signature.
- That should still require us to approach each ship up close.
- I don't see any other way.
- Valthken, is there anything you can tell us about the AX9 that would help?
- Scanning for a bio-signature will be difficult without the scrambling codes. Each ship has a unique set.
- You must have some kind of override.
- ...
- Valthken, we're running out of time. Tell us.
- Our clients would not be happy if they knew we had overrides to their cloaking systems...
- He's slipping form our grasp as we speak. We need to move. Now.
- Alright! I'm trusting you will just perform a bio-scan and nothing else.
- We haven't lost sight of the goal here. We're only after Ja'kell.
- The overrides were designed to be performed only through our planetary sensors, and you must do the same. It will help avoid suspicion if the scans are detected.
- Understood.
- We better find him soon. This entire mess is costing us a fortune.
End Transmission.
