Daily Mission Briefing
One of our ships, the NV4, briefly detected a pod appearing in range near one of our central mining colonies. Before it could contact it, however, the pod vanished into a rift-like aperture. We are concerned that this may have been an act of espionage.

- Rendezvous with the NV4, and investigate the area.
>How much data was the NV4 able to collect?
- They are already in the process of analyzing the sensor data. Your ship can assist by scanning the surrounding region, especially where the aperture briefly formed.
>Did our border sensors and outposts detect anything?
- No... nothing... Even with advanced cloaking, reaching the central colonies undetected shouldn't be possible with technology we are aware of. This is quite unusual.
>Hopefully the analysis reveals a bit more about the incident...
