I have completed a mission. but it will not let me go to the next mission on it to get kalvium fortified plating how can i get it to let me do the next part of this mission....

What was the name of the mission you just finished? (or what special item did you get from the mission you just finished... any detail to identify will help)

if you see a mission called octafari distress in your mission list, you must do that one first and follow the mission chain until you get to the kalvium mission. i had the same problem

in fact, there are several missions that come before the one that gives the kalvium... you have to have all of those done first... here's the list in order

Octafari Distress
Following the Trail
The Mylarai Embargo
Octafari Migration
Dubious Intent
The Grid Crisis
Grid Resistance <-- gives the Kalvium Fortified Plating
Embattled Retreat
The Mylarai Accord <-- unlocks Mylarai as a playable race

So starting with the first one in the list, look through your list for each of the titles.... if one of those titles are there, you need to do that one next

interesting bc i have embattled retreat AND octofari distress and i can do both. i think if u started it u can continue

really? is embattled retreat's button gray or blue?

blue i just did a completion of it to test. i did the same with 2 misisons b4 it and the missions for the zolazin chain. (after zolazin battle as i have yet to finish that one)

definitely a bug then... if you complete embattled retreat before doing octafari distress, will The Mylarai Accord come up with a grayed button?

embattled retreat is blue mylari embargo is gray, and octofari distress is blue. iu believe they are in fact 2 seperat misison chains that ran back to back

Embattled Retreat (battle: 15x Octafari Grid-Pylon, drops Modified Grid-Pylon)

obviously if you have The Mylarai Embargo available (yet grayed), Following The Trail was fully completed... it'll be interesting to find out why embattled retreat is blue for you... i've partially completed a few timed missions before, and when they came back they weren't visible until i fully completed all the missions before... and i've completed a few missions and the ones immediately after were always grayed until all prior ones were done... but..... it might be as you said... i don't think i've completed one and then started on but hadn't completed the next

As much as it pains me to say this, I have to agree with BKM.

If you recall when they were timed missions, one of Octafari themed missions (Octafari Migration??) was described as "Epilogue" implying that it was the end of a chain.

I also have Octafari Distress active and blue as well as Embattled Retreat (active and blue)

that's what i'm fishing at though... trying to see if he completed both Dubious Intent and The Grid Crisis when it was timed... (which would be weird considering Dubious Intent is linked in the chain, otherwise it would've appeared by itself as the beginning of a chain when it became untimed)

.....or if the grayed out button only checks two or three missions back, instead of the entire chain, which would be a bug
.....or if like he said, partial completion of a mid-chain mission immediately folllowing one that has been completed, but hasn't had all pre-reqs satisfied is what makes the button blue.... which would also be a bug

distress active, trail timed, embargo gray, migration, can't find, intent can't find (i think they are hidden for now), crisis timed. resistance timed, retreat active.

timed= when i did it
gray=inactive
hidden= not showing on my list yet incomplete ( didn't do a single one of intent)
active=active

so one of three causes on why embattled retreat is blue:
#1 it's programmed to only check to see if the last two missions in a chain have been completed (which means doing two missions back to back when it's timed can break the chain)
or
#2 partially started a mission (but didn't finish when timed) when you've completed the immediately preceding mission
or
#3 partially started a mission (but didn't finish when timed) when you've completed the immediately preceding two missions

#1's the most probable reason,... i've heard many people completed Grid Crisis, and I myself was tempted by the Kalvium plates in Grid Resistance that i had to do that one
Of course since we're discussing this in the Issues and Support forum, if it's indeed a bug (as i suppose it is, as either of these three causes wouldn't be intentional) Dan probably has already seen this thread and is planning a "fix" in the next update
