Yup. It is there to prevent exploit of planned or consented farming for badges off friends or alt accounts..

However, if you come across them on your BT then you can attack/hack/raid all you want.

Yep. Supposed to.. BT is not easily abused because you can't target them anytime you want to farm.. You would need to cycle thru BT to spawn same ones to kill.. Target a ship in friend list is very prone to abuse..
