Since the game is twerkin
I was thinking about this game and war. I played mafia wars years ago and quite frankly, was was war. Toos links up and everyone destroy the other. Galaxy Legion?? Not so much.
It would be cool if you could have a "declare war" option on another legion. Activate a 24 Hour Timer so the other legion can prepare.
Then when the 24 hours is up, both legions have direct access to other legions links . When all are dead. war over .
Relic Badges and Vodka to the winners and extra dynite to the losers.

Would be pretty sweet if there were a "war mode" option that gave tangible bennies to legions that declare war on one another! (said 400 million ppl before me)

I've never bothered reading those suggestions, either. But I see 'em pop up a lot.
You could make it kinda like Exotica, 'cept people can't repair after being disabled for x-amount of time. After a certain number of ships are "down for the count," a legion could offer a formal surrender or whatev.
Could be fun.

Could be fun. 8 hours, like a baselock , maybe even have to option to introduce a war when locking the enemy base , defending legion has option to select war or normal baselock

Not sure why pokerman is calling out TWH as halcing up. There are few people in TWH with under 2k-3k kills and most are very active on BT. Personal and legion attacks seem tasteless to me.
Also not sure of when the supposed shooting off of mouths occurred, etc,, etc.
But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Reasons for possible TWH attacks. 1) He is stil bummed about losing all of his alts (that is if he actually did lose them all...) 2) This maintenance time is so soul destroying he just had to attack someone and saw a jar of Kool aid on the counter and just chose you. Last, but most likely... 3) He is a #$&*$#...

Wouldn't work.
There are just some players that you cannot kill whilst they are online.
If a legion is competent, then you can take your 6+ most heavily hulled and have them go Lazuli Fixer and tank up.
Then just have them rotate on a schedule, where at least two are always present and online defending their ship, thereby buying enough time for the other ships to repair(once timer passes) and re-enter the fray.

I've seen many a well-thought out and detailed suggestion on this matter in the past, detailed enough for Dan not to have to do much thinking of his own apart from how to implement it into the game. I've kind of accepted it's not going to happen by now, but as always any war feature would have my support.

Make it so that once a ship has been disabled by a ship from the warring legion, they are out. They can repair immediately but cannot attack the warring legion's ships for the duration of the war. A war tab shows all ships in the warring legion and marks them red once they have been disabled (by your legion). First to disable all enemy ships wins, reward could be relic badges, some new type of badge or new artifacts (possibly adumbrate upgrades or other previously suggested artifacts).

In another game I used to play, a player could enter Diplomacy mode. They could not attack anyone nor could that be attacked. Might be an option for those that have zero interest in that aspect of the game. If they were in (D), perhaps they don't even appear on the BT. Less "halced", less BT stress.
