Disclaimer: I do not have a composite ray atm and am not likely to for some time.

Idea: An upgrade in the battle market that when used would combine a composite ray type D,S,and C together giving at least the full secondary bonuses of each (maybe more via synergy) and an increased attack. I don't personally know what its final stats should be other than to say that logically it should take up more deck space and have more attack since it is a combine of three weapons with an attack bonus. Given the format of the battle market it would probably take a good chunk of medal points to be able to purchase it as well.

Concerns: It needs to be good enough that no one feels like they shouldn't use the upgrade if they can. Some one using it for the secondary scan bonuses might simply be happy with a marginal boost in scanning power without concern for ratio (simply to squeeze every bit of scan into their ship). The tricky one would be for those that like the defense version and would not like to feel that the primary att/def function for the upgraded ray is less efficient than the previous type D.

Design (Just a few thoughts on what it should look like): It should/could look like a multi cambered/barreled weapon possibly on top of each other, side by side, or in a circular array.

the whole point of that module is to force a choice. yes, you can choose to pick up a complete set of each ... but that is for the extreme OCD types.

Then I am "an extreme OCD type." I have all three sets, though I never use type d anymore. I like this idea and suggested something very similar before. It should have a high cost, maybe 750 dark badges.

I don't think it would be to bad since you would have to be an OCD type to use the upgrade (have one of each type).
