Since Independence Day was missed, why not hold it back until August 24th, to celebrate the burning of Washington.

This year is the 200th anniversary.

British forces occupied the American capital and burnt many of the public buildings to the ground, including the White House.

Cough, I dont think that nationlocked content such as this though is a good idea. holidays work because they are ubiquitous, things like indepenance day Is a understandable exception but this is too far to purely american imo.

In all seriousness, I agree with Peticks. Is there a Bonfire seasonal content madoodah? To 'celebrate' stopping Guy Fawkes from blowing up Parliament? (V did an excellent job afterwards).

This whole system is American, so ID is ideal. But nationlocked content IS a bit too much, and the British destroying the White House may upset a few people. It's only a game, but there are always people like that...
