Lesson learned (Open recruitment abuse)

 This is regarding combining Open Recruitment with enabling ALL players to use Ability Points on the base.

Lol there doesn't need to be a new feature for using AP. Do you realize that anyone (including a legion that locks you) can join your legion and blow your points then kill your base. Add more officers if you are going to leave your legion open. There is no grudge against you as far as I can tell

aggghhh oh my f****** god!!!,i didn't read his post,that really p***** me off, who give's him the right to run around other legion telling them how to run it, and to make them feel scared to place open rec on, little #&$#

Just pointing out a major flaw on your point Asheron. You had Open Recruitment on while you had use Base Abilities open to all members. It's half the leadership's fault that a rogue was able to jump in and use the ability points.

While I agree that it was the leadership's fault for having the legion settings that way the open recruitment setting shouldn't be so easy to abuse. Seriously, selecting open recruitment and allowing base abilities to be used by all members is just like leaving your car unlocked...
...with the keys in the ignition, the motor running and with a neon sign next to it inviting people to take it for a spin. Just don't do it, problem solved. Established legions should not be using open recruitment. If they choose to ignore the obvious and widely moaned about "problems" associated with it, that is their risk to take. However, allowing base abilities to be used by all members over the period of the open recruitment drive is just insane. No changes to the rules are necessary, just use a little common sense, please... |

Yes, you're not supposed to use Open Recruitment, it's only there for stupid people to use, so we can mock them.

Someone brought this to my attention a while ago and I just laughed. I use open recruit when all of our members are home, and guess what- base abilities are leader only. So if some wants to stop by and say hello your more than welcome you arnt gonna accomplish much on the pass through.
