Basically I was looking for input as to whether to get Velox Thruster, Aegis Capacitor and Anubix ally, or use the resources I have saved up so far and get them in the future?

The main things I have been saving for these are Ship Bots, Android Helmsman and X-Charges. The Ship bots don't affect me too much as I am running an SSB, so don't use them with the regularity others may. Androids and X-Charges would obviously be a big boon, but I am trying to get a handle on whether the immediate stat boost is better than the percentage boost I would gain from using these items.

Save for them now. Don't put it off because you'll give up.

Velox Thruster is a good investment at a very early stage. Just go ahead and get it now.

Anubix is rather specific to your ability to rank it up at a decent rate. How often are you successfully raiding?

not sure if there is a mathematical answer for the velox and annubix, but i believe i read on the forums that mathematically you shouldn't save cells for the aegis until you have 2913 shields. Personally, I haven't used a ship bot or helmsmen since rank 100 for bots, 75ish for helmsmen. I'm trying to get my set of veloxes as soon as possible (already have 1, 20 helmsmen from #2). I'm rank 121.

My legion normally takes down 2 5's a day and I get in on most of them.

The only other big consideration in my mind is SSB... Obviously I don't have space to work with, so would probably have to remove a mod to get it on.

Don't bother with Anubix unless your legion does Lv5+ bases and you're able to make enough damage to get atleast 50% raiding chance on the base.

We do at least 2, with many pushing for it to be 5's only (mainly due to people having Anubix, and us being able to take a good amount of the 5's). When I get on bases I normally come pretty high up the leaderboard.

Sounds to me like you should get the set of veloxes as soon as possible. Anubix, obviously just make sure you have the materials needed by rank 200, since it seems that within 100-200 base disables, you'll have it maxed. As for Aegis....do you go with the numbers or with your emotions? Either way you can't go wrong as long as you are having fun!

Anubix is definatley worth getting as soon as possilbe. Velox and aegis not so much for a ssb.

for a SSB, aegis is pretty much completely useless. Frankly, if I wanted to disable a SSB I am gonna torpedo him. And the deck space it requires is a killer(as you are obviously not gonna use shield mods).
Velox provides 50 +5% def for 30 deck space (200 cancelled due to helm). If that's a better fit for you than your current best def module you have on, feel free to put it on. However, as a SSB I kinda doubt you would have significant defense, it might be better if you invest that into hull instead (if everyone is going to hit you for cap or nearly cap anyway...) for that space. Ofc, this depends on ur hull, def and current rank(and hence deck), it might be worth the investment if you happen to have a very high def (for ur rank and for a SSB) due to slow lvling etc, that would be about the only way for velox to be of use.

Anubis takes lv 50 to pay off its helmsman cost, so if you can raid bases frequently to get to that lvl fairly fast, I'd say certainly yes. Thou considering my previous statement about how def is likely useless for SSB, if the def is not going to be a big issue, grab it anyway as you will need whatever Invasion Atk you can get, that's the biggest shortcoming of SSB.

I don't know which type of Android Helmsmen you've been using, but they provide 3 Defense each.

Therefore, you actually lose 50 Defense by creating a Velox Thruster, though this is made up for by the 5% bonus they provide.

In other words, Velox Thrusters only do their job efficiently if you have 3-4K defense before installing one.

aw crap, i hate messing up between the items XD.
probably takes far more than 3-4k for a SSB, space is precious for those guys.

I got Anubix around rank 220. Definitely worth it for the invasion attack, and the cloak isn't bad if you're working toward Black Hat.

yep, i am getting anubix mainly for the cloak (and zero space !) i can get it now at rank 250 ... just have to leave my current legion for a week.

aegis and velox i will save for, but will just keep in cargo ... i won't get to ssb until i hit rank 385 which is still a long ways off.
