It feels like I'm back on Gaia with the kind of messages people are leaving on Comms. Or Grade school.

Looked over the terms of service, but see nothing about malicious treatment, bullying or harassment. Any body got any tips?

First, don't get mad and reply in kind. Second, just delete the post. Costs them energy to post, you none to delete. Third, if the language is bad enough you can report them to the developer by clicking on the link bottom left of the game window.

Another thing you might try is humor...... and not sarcastic humor. Be funny and friendly, many times it will win them over.

Maude's idea works for me. I tend to be disarming in my chats. If they're still ticked off, then so be it. Really, if on the internet you don't have a thick skin about people saying things to you in chats they never would face to face, then you need to grow a thick skin.

I'm talking about people who are spamming Comms with degenerate terms like 'fxxxxx', and that "racist one that starts with 'n'". Not to mention mothers and the usage of their reproductive organs in many creative and anatomically impossible ways.

It deals less with having thick skin as me asking why that sort of disgusting behaviour is allowed and goes unmoderated. Once, I'll delete it. Twice, I'll delete it. The fourth or fifth time is when I say enough and want to press a little 'report' button that I can't seem to find.

There is no block or blacklist function, so it's not like we can completely remove somebody from the game.

I am disappoint.

To report you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the facebook page that GL is on below the actual screen for the game and probably a bit of blank space and there is a little link that says report/contact this app. While normally I agree that most people just need to ignore it and grow a thicker skin some things are prohibited by terms of service and if its more than just once that an idiot does it then yes it needs reported.

What I don't understand is how an idiot would think of derogatory phrases when it is impossible to even know what the player looks like! It would be truly ironic if the post went completely unnoticed because you tried to call a 10 year old Irish male a N***** B****.

lol ive been called that before. not irish, but hungarian, so still pretty white. i thought it was funny.
