What can I do to get my ship stronger? I feel like right now it is mediocre at best.

Arti needs to go up.


I'm afraid that my production per rank is actually higher than yours atm.


Kills are nice, attack defense and hull are good.

It's really just the production that's keeping you back from being a top ship.

Sensor research? Low ranker with 12 open slots = not so good...

Yeah, I've been trying to get it up, but its difficult. Have to keep waiting for enough purgers, and then scan. Have a couple of really good arti planets on my lists, but I'm not strong enough to get them yet. I'm trying to drop back down to 100 planets, and do another scan run. Hopefully with better stuff. Also, over the summer, I'm working, so I'm going to go ahead and buy exotic dyson, and my three rifts. Should help out tremendously.

Start ranking up. Gather more production, PvP, NPC, whichever you like. With low productions, you only stem your growth. It is not the time to slow rank, get 10k+ artifact production, then make that choice. You'll be far better off

Oh, I'm not trying to slow rank. I don't have the patience for it anyway. Its really the energy that turns out to be the problem most of the time. I want to add energy modules, but no space atm. should I drop one defense module, and add energy?

If energy is a problem add engineers if you're running a limited deck build you don't want any energy mods on.

In terms of stats arti is key about 100x your current production should suffice.

You should be swapping in energy mods any time you rank.
If you can't scan good planets trade for them.

I do swap in, I forgot to put that. In that case, my max is 2017 energy.

You could also start hunting a few NPCs (especially with some more energy) and using the NPC loot to build good arti production planets. Obviously you'll end up ranking a bit but you said that wasn't a big issue for you and I think that if you're increasing your aph fast enough then your ship will always be able to handle the higher rank.
