 I have 47 space, but my ship is scout. Why I don't have light frigate?
from wiki: Ship Classifications Size Class 20 - 29 Scout 30 - 99 Light Frigate 100 - 149 Frigate |

Some of the information in the wiki isn't always up to date due to changes made to the game, let us know if your ship size increases when you have 50+ decks, from memory it should.

here is the new size for ships is:
