Ok ive noticed alot of ppl resetting so i came up with a reset strategy/guide, tell me what you think. Dont worry i have thick skin.

Step 1.
Make sure all the planets you want are with someone who will hold onto them and give them back to you in a timely manner.

Step 2. Scrap all your Artifacts and either donate your Cr to the base or give it and the other scrapped stuff to other players

Step 3. After Step 1&2 are complete Procede with your reset

Step 4. Picking a proper class

Aerlen Fixer: +30% Defense,=30% Hull. Best for Base defense and a decent pvp build
Konqul Fixer: Fixer still helps the base with Aux. Fort. and Emergency repairs, While the Konqul bonues of 30% to attack helps if your playing on going for a more aggressive play style(Konqul Fixer is the most common pvp build choice)
Sillix Fixer: Another Common pvp build it allows more decks but still only the Fixer helps the base when underfire. The Sillix bonus is more decks but at a higher lvls Sillix is completely useless.

Step 5. Strategy
It is ver important to have a stragtey at hand when reseting other wise youll just end up where you were before not knowing what to do with your ship here are some viable Strategies you can use

The Freeze: After resetting and picking your class you stay at lvl one get a decent Arti planet and just collect the daily artifact shipments in hopes of getting Resc prisoners and Ship-Bots. When you recieve these you put your pionts all into decks, and do so for a month. After this you should hopefully be at 200-600 decks depending on whats the legions output of AP. Next move to a all RP legion and for another month just research Weapons, Energy, Defense, and Resources. As you do this make sure to add on these modules as you go to give you a feel for you ship. And Ofc its always important to have a sponser to help with your Upkeep. After you feel you have asertained the strength that you like you can go ahead and proceed to level, now you WILL level quickly in the beginning but the key is to not lvl too quickly. PVPing while letting yourself rank up is quite acceptable, by the time you reach lvl 30 or so you should stop lvling off pvping and then progress to lvl at your leaisure while farming ships getting badges and making your ship the beast it will be.

First thing after resetting is to research shields and +12's asap so you can get your planets back asap. Thus my suggestion is a high RP orientated legion to help you out with that. This assuming you have enough credits saved before resetting.

If you want to maximize your post-reset advantages, tap as many good elites just prior to the reset. Make sure your legionmates agree not to kill them until after your reset. If you're lucky, you'll start off with some nice ship modules at level 1. And yes, this isn't theory: I can confirm it works.

That would be cheating and should be fixed.

Konqul and Aerlen racial bonuses are +20% to attack and defense, respectively.

Aerlen is 30%, but Konqul is 20%.

I think your guide is sound, but you have to rely on friends or legionnaires for an extended period of time. Be sure you're able to trust them with your planets before you give them up so easily.

Aerlen is 30%, but Konqul is 20%.

Ah, Aerlen guess that's due to the brick-like nature of the Aerlen then.

Ok, I feel I should actually weigh in here.

  • The ONLY class you should go would be Konqul Excavator.
  • DO NOT FREEZE RANK AT SUCH A PATHETIC LEVEL
  • Now heres where things will differ slightly
    • If you have good arti planets then it wont make much difference whether you need an AP or RP base
    • If you have good res planets then an AP base would be best
  • Go SSB until around 70-100 then use your stock piled ship bots
  • Only spend rank points in Tactical Officers and Engineers
  • Research upto +12's and CT Lab asap
  • Keep your energy at a level that it will just max out in the time your offline

100% agree. I am curious though, in the long run do you plan to be a SSB ~2k-3k decks or fully blown. I only ask because you will have such an advantage with never putting into decks that the added att/energy/hull/shields seem trivial and the lower damage cap would be nice.

Exactly.
I'd also like to add that you should try to limit the amount of mining planets you have. If you don't have enough credits to support yourself post reset hold off, and sell your mods and build up money from saved upkeep.

Personnally, Im going SSB for as long as possible or until I want to do a scan run at max pos.

Heres my SSB before I refit it in 7 yellow badges time :)

I plan on taking off my def and adding more guns. Total hull/shields should be around 1250, cap of 35/36 and an attack of ~800 and still have a def of ~110. BTW just about to update my diary.

If he has good AP planets it won't make a difference if it's RP or AP? lol And you expect him to get to Obviation Barrier and Topopolis how? Relying on his AP?

Just a few things I find wrong with your quote.

Firstly, Scientists = RP
Secondly, by the time you get to need them you should already have enough production to get them pretty smoothly.
Thirdly, as a lowly rank 800 reset, currently at rank 49, I have just under 4k AP and RP with +8's and no mission buildings. Just under 2 Million research done in 4 weeks. Much much better that sitting in an RP base pumping out 40-60 RP a day (currently just under 100k RP a day for me).

The whole issue was to be able to have +12's and properly defended AP planets asap(cloaking is out of the question at those ranks, hence the defense). Hence the boost considering mission based arties pop up way later on so those +12's should make the difference. The entire point was for him to stay in an RP legion just until he gets +12's then immediately switch to AP legion.

60k RP/day is roughly 2500 RP/h extra/h. Now I doubt you'd get those many scientists(like what, 4-5 a day? lol) in an AP legion.

The "issue" imo is void. If you rely on planet defence instead of cloak you have already lost.

7078200 RP for Topolis , at my current rate ~80 days, longer if only using base for RP. You obviously forget how much research is needed for these things. Better to let RP progress semi naturally and instead spend 3 months collecting prisoners, android helm and scientists.

why is cloaking a problem at those levels? Just max passive cloak before the reset and then the rest are artifacts/structures very few require ranks above 100.

weren't you resetting? Why not put up your own diary and compare with bob's?
