 level restrict for attacks

i would really like to see level restrictions for attacking. there are currently people attacking me, and frankly griefing me that are 50 - 100 levels above me, no one at my level attacks me, just people who are significantly above (dont have to worry about losing or much of a retailiation) my opinion is, with the GP stuff, that it be +/- 10 levels.

Dan tried this a while back when everyone whined and griped about it. Then took it back out after everyone whined and griped about having it.

It is how 95% of other games work. There were 2 or 3 people that complained about not having anyone to attack though since they had already friended all the other high levels. It might work a lot better now with the new legion system and a lot more people in the 400's.

Restricting attacks to merely retalliatory attacks on people of lower level than you would work quite well so long as you could target people within your level. 5 either side seems reasonable, 10 even sounds reasonable.

If as stated in the other thread it's 40% either way.. that's a bit extreme >_>

You arent thinking about those at the top that have a much larger range of levels between them and their closest competitor. 10-20% seems fair in all honesty, your build means more than a few ranks in almost every concievable application.

I would rather be my rank with my build then 15 ranks higher. That may be just me.

It used to exist at +/- 40%. but that was disadvantageous to the top 3 or 4 people and it was taken away after someone threatened to quit paying money to the game.

I've consistently managed to take out people 150% bigger than me for a long time now, although the ones right near that 150% mark is pushing it. I routinely fight people with 30 and 35 decks on me at 100. Anyone that fights me at my level doesn't fight me for long once they realize the investment it takes to take me down.

Another game that I play has restrictions until you reach a certain point level. perhaps have the +/- 40% or whatever until level 300 or so

this is going to seem rude, sorry, but im just not in the mood to butter this up.

1: Attention Lowbies: DEAL WITH IT. i.e. a rank 10 colonized a dyson, you scan it, you wait 2 weeks for it to be free game. You then go for it, just to realize that because your above rank 100(thusly not meeting the +/- 40% range) you cant attack it, so the energy you spent to scan that planet and the fact that you found a dyson is pointless.

Anything that a more powerful player can do to you is only temporary, anything thats near permanent (i.e. taking/fuxing a good planet) if you scan a good planet held by a lowbie, the only thing stopping you from taking it is yourself.

2:Rank does not equal Power in any way, shape, or form. Rank is a good way to find the reasonable limits of the power of someone, but until rank=power it would not make a balanced system.
