I'm running heavy theta's supernova 4's Syncos and exorgennic/trans temp full sets at 6k p/h and as builder making one bang tidy profit per day even with 2.2 bill upkeep as builder with a 6k p/h mining pool, even with non max collecting (as in missing a few shipments a day quite often)

funny thing ive noticed about builders around my level range, they have the higher equipment, but dont have the crew to back it up, not saying anything bad against you, just an observation.

Just from adding the upkeep on the modules you want, you're looking @ 2,454b in upkeep a day. I'm a rank 347 Myralai Miner and my MP is just under 7k/h (it's low for my level but it more then keeps me afloat). My total upkeep is 2,5b right now and it will jump to over 3b as soon as i install the 5 perfect synco's. It will also cost you a boatload of credits just to purchase the mods themselves, so start saving up and you will eventually be able to pull it off just maybe not at rank 250 (but you never know, you might prove me wrong!). Best of luck to you on reaching that goal.

Seriously with my 4 months of freezing rank with good resources at 180 rank and staying away from big ticket items, I was able to install the following by rank 225...

Heavy Thetacron Cannon x4
Light Thetacron Cannon x4
Quantum Overlay Engine - Mark III x4
Phase Shift Engine - Mark III x4

with the rest of my full armor... my upkeep was 3 Billion, and I was only able to farm about 3.5 Billion per day without outside sales. Really put a lot of stress on my ship, if fact my gears got downgraded twice

Now that I m 300s, I wouldn't take chance getting Quasi-Chaotic, especially with running a base. Hope this may help!

@Exterminator, Panteraider from DoO had Heavy Thetacron Cannons at rank 178. He never researched shield, tho.

Speaking at rank 253, I reckon the actual upkeep will probably take alot less than what most of these are saying. 3k will probably cover the upkeep with some comfort. For the most part though, you'll need at least another thousand for repairs, which will be maxed. 1k will bring you a profit of about 700M, 3 repairs @ 200M=400M. Only 300M surplus, but with trading you could do it on 4k.

I make 900M-1B on 29k/day. My upkeep is 1B. I manage... justabout. While I would NOT recommend copying my economic position, I think you could do Thetas on 4k.

29/24=1.2k/hour (effectively). 1.2k=900M so 1.32k = 1B/day. So 4k=3B/day. It depends with how much comfort you want to live.

Hmm, let me see if I got this right.

4.2k/hr 4.2*8=33600 capacity. I can unload at last twice a day. At roughly 90m/hr, 90*16=1.44 billion. Add in I could probably sell minerals an extra 2 hours after that, that's 1.62 billion. Hence, 620000000 a day profit, before sales.

They were only light Thets. And whatsmore, he had no defense, cloak, shields researcj=hed, and very low scanners. So, you still kinda won

3.2 Bil Upkeep - I can manage with 4.4K mining with no GTC profits just fine.

Have :
3x Colliders
8x Hvy Thetas
4x Inverters
4x TT Nacelles
5x Perfect Ferm

Don't bother with Thetacrons until you're at a much higher level. The attack boost isn't worth the huge jump in upkeep. They add about an extra 1B to upkeep.

1.6B, actually, and given that I can afford the upkeep, for what is actually a fairly substantial boost in attack (+20%ish), I don't see why I would wait for a higher rank.

What percent of your full attack though is it?

you should not have them unless the only mining you are taking is 16x toxics.
