How many planets should i purge between scan runs?

wait to purge planets till you do your scan blitz .. it will help the odds, if you get crit hacked, it will be one that YOU dont have colonized

as many as possible...the fewer planets you have the higher your chances of getting new ones.
Basically, there's no definitive answer...you have to make a call based on how good your scan is vs. how long you can be bothered to wait.
