The update for planet events has been around for about 2 weeks now, and I haven't had a single event. I was told that we should get a couple of events weekly, but even thought I own 83 planets, I haven't had a single one. Am I just being insanely unlucky, or is there somthing wrong with my account? Maybe I just need to be more patient...

Are you sure you haven't missed one? Otherwise, yes, it's just bad luck. I've have 5.

I have been checking my ship log and all that regularly, so I'm pretty confident I haven't missed one. It must just be really bad luck

Luck of the draw. There's an equation to figure it out but even with the odds it doesn't nessessarily mean that you'll get the number of events. Just be patient, you'll get them eventually.

Ive had at least 2 events ive not been notified of, just by scrutinizing my planets defenses have i seen a animation on my planets marking flux storms active on them

The messages might have been pushed off the news feed by other messages. If youcheck the oldest post on your news feed, then the time that has gone by for the event, you'll know if it was a bug or not.

The ONLY planet events I have seen so far took place when I colonized new planets. I check everyday in my log to see if I missed any but nope none.
New update, after my post here yesterday I logged in to find one of my Aphotics had unique lifeforms so I guess I just had crappy luck with events for the last few weeks.

I've had quite a few events with 118 planets, at least 10 of them. I've never had an Analyze event though. I bought the Reality Transfuser for all my best planets though, so that's reduced the number of planets that can have an Analyze event.

just to let you know, I've had no events on any of my planets yet either. and I have quite a few. Just how the dice are rolled imo

Is events rolled per planet thou? (that is roll a dice for each planet)
It might be per player (that is, roll the dice for a player first, and then if it hit "yes" it rolls the dice to select one of the planets, and then finally a 3rd roll for which effect")

strange that some people haven't seen any yet...

i've seen random events usually coincide with your daily upkeep timer or next time you log in if offline at that time (seems there are still a few exceptions though from some people's reports)...

and when I had 5K+ scan, I was seeing roughly a 50% chance that i'd have one new event... and my longest dry spell was 4 days without an event


the vorigar expanse mission recently destroyed my 5x 5B credit sensors.... twice (the 2nd time they weren't even re-installed, just sitting uninstalled but repaired)... so for the next few weeks i'll be sitting at 1.7k scan, and I'll see if my chance changes any
