 Claim Reward oddness

To start off, I haven't really noticed anything odd with the claim reward before in the game, but then, I've only been playing for 2 months and change. That said, for the past month the claim reward has been very consistent. Consistent as in 90% of the time it gives me the mineral reward (I remember getting 2 TME's, 1 research payout, and 2 rank points). I hope this isn't some kind of holiday thing because minerals are the last thing that I want. I already get too many of them as it is.

Am I the only one getting odd ratios?

well for like the last month i have only got maybe 1 or 2 tri matrix and cant even remember the last time i got energy cube got 2 rank points a couple of times as well

well i had 3 tri matrix in the last week. I guess its just random and sometimes we have a bad run

Based on several people tracking their Daily Rewards, the percentages are approximately:

Mineral Points (including pre-patch credit reward): 40
Research Points: 20
Rank Points: 5
Energy Cube: 15
Tri-Matrix Emblem: 20
Galaxy Points: <1

So you will (on average) get mineral points nearly half of your claims. Be it every other click or 20 times in a row. Over a long period of time, the numbers will trend toward those percentages (which seem to be based on a weighted system). If the RNG is set to pick a number between 00 and 99 you can assume by the data collected that 00-39 may represent Minerals. Any time the RNG returns a number in that range, you get minerals. 40-59 could be Research, and so on.

It's inexplicable to me why people start to make assumptions that the draw is "fixed" and start to make complaints after 4 days... :roll:

Is there a minimal rank where u can get GP thou?
I never got it once till I was 150, and then got it twice in 2 weeks or so

It might be just random, but I can see the possiblity of a minimal rank on GP to prevent multis(yes they are against the rules... but they might exist never the elss so have to guard against them) from farming them too

PS: If I recall correctly, I drew GP when I was around rank 10.

I've gotten GP once, at about Rank 40 or 50.

I've gotten GP about 7 times now. Haven't had some in about 4-5 months.

I understand that it might be random. But ur statement about "don't multi for GP" is not completely correct.
Although GP isn't transerrable, some of the GP-only stuff is, one way or another:
I can share a planet, have my alt take it, build a GP-only structure on it, and then have the alt leave legion and proceed to invade the planet.
Ofc, most of the better stuff would be harder to get this way as they cost 16 or more.
However, it's NOT impossible to have some ppl multi for GP stuff(as opposed to GP)
And therefore not exactly impossible or a minimal limit to be put in.

And no, it's not hard to code a "not possible until rank x" part into something. You can do it with just one line of code:
if the current random role is:
int I=Math.random()*100
then all you gotta do is make GP to be 99(note that 100 is technically not possible)
and add the line of:
if (player.getRank()<x) I=Math.random()*99
Is that hard?

Therefore, both parts of your reasoning is invalid.

Your PS would have been sufficent to disprove the theory, and I thank you for that. But don't insult my intellegence, I understand random probability events, I'm a math major. But I perfer the "possible until prove otherwise" approch to things.

Never tried to insult your intelligence. And I never said it was "hard," just a waste of time. On average, you would have to rank a multi to the 150-200 range to get 2 GP rewards. Those 10 GP plus the starter GP which I believe is still 10, would enable your multi to buy 1 GP structure. I seriously doubt that anyone would put in the time to rank a second (3rd, 4th...) ship that high for a random chance to draw enough GP for a structure. And quoting Dan twice concerning the randomness should be enough to prove that it is random without any stipulations.

just curious... how much game-breaking or GP-only stuff is there for 15 GP or less?

u don't need to rank them to get ur dailys do u?

And no, it's not game breaking...
Just 100 1-year old accounts will get u a few fluxes with 100-200 storage buildings etc
not game breaking but also minimal effort(you can probably write a program to pick up the reward every 20 hours.... I mean you are already breaking the rules so XD)

It's free stuff for a rather small amount of effort

Not something I would bother to do.... but u never know if there would be crazies
