I have gotten the idea of EPIC battles between legions from a few different threads. Instead of posting in every single thread I thought I would post here all my ideas and will copy/paste the stuff Ive already said.
Here is one: STARBASE INVASION
Size: I would like the starbase to have Levels like a ship's decks and the average rank and strength of the legion would determine the amount of levels.
(Have an equation like this, Average Strength/Average Rank x number of members=Levels, so if the average strength was 1000 and the average rank was 100 with 50 members you would have 500 levels to work with, which if it was the same size as decks would be a dreadnought)
Weapons, etc: The "modules" that can be installed would be based on the total research spent by the whole legion. This would be divided by the number of members to get average research. Then you would take this and spread it evenly between all the research trees to see how advanced the station will be. Then the legion would work together to build these hyper-expensive modules by each building one(or as many as they can afford, they would be in the lines of 200 billion dollars plus 100 kurenite if it was current top level research on the wiki, but obviously would be cheaper if it was lower), as these could be a big loss to even rank 200+ if the reserahc was high enough. Dan could decide how many levels each one takes up.
Energy would be used to "power" the modules. Each module would have a minimum energy requirement to run and if it cannot be paid it will inflict some penalty to all members that contributed and the module would go offline and take damage 2x a day.
Cloaking would hide modules just like on players, and if you have to scan for these bases it would work like planetary cloak.
Scanners depending on level would give more info on the target. So proximity scanners for a very weak legion would tell you only that the base is being attacked. Hyperflux sensors would tell you how many were attacking, the legion the majority if not all of them were in, the average research/rank/strength of the legion, the names of the top 5 damagers, and if the leader is attacking and other things dan might think of.
Weapons/Defense/Hull/Sheild would work the same way, except sheilds would have their own defense stat to be more realistic.
Guarding Bonuses: Docked ships would add either
A) An immediate PvP bonus to the station that is solid numbers
B) A percentage Bonus
C) ALL stat bonus
D) ALL stat plus a reduction in repair cost if its destroyed
Repair costs would be in the number of a 10s of TRILLIONs of credits(Of course this would be shared between the legion)+over 1000 kurenite
Fighter Bays could be added to the base that would add special stats such as increases sheild regeneration, reduced energy requirement for modules, increased armor, reduced construction cost, PvP stats, and sensor drones would provide VERY detailed information about enemy starbeases that are found.
Structures: The "Labs" the OP talked about would work like this. The total crew of every docked ship would be added and used to determine production depending on the level of the labs. names for these labs would be called
---Replication Labs: Increase mining based on number of crew on base(Equation for all of these labs would be like this, Total Crew/number of modules x level of lab=production, so if there are 10 modules on a spacedock and 4000 crew and the level of the lab is teir 3 it would add 1200 production of that resource to every guard, and to balance it could be SPREAD among the gaurds so if there is 10 gaurds they would receive 120 each)
---Deep Space Research Labs: Increase research
---Exo-Archaeology labs: Increase artifacts
---Deep Shroud Labs: Increase Cloaking
---Military Barrracks: Increase defense against raids(Discussed later)(The equation for labs like this and the one after this would be the same but the number would be the 1200 but it would be equivalent to cloak against hacking defense or Crew against raiding. Raiding would be stationed crew+military barracks bonus=raiding defense)
---Nerd Lab(Jk, Data Randomization labs): Increase defense against hacks(Discussed later
Raids and Hacks on starbases: Starbases would contain the location of every planet owned by the legion, and if hacked critically any number of planets between 1-the number of players in legion/5 would be found and everyone in legion would learn the locations. If hacked regularly the hacker's legion(You would have to have a legion of at least 10 to hack the base) would gain a SHARED 10 hours research production of the starbase. When raided it sends a message to every ship engaged in battle asking if they want to participate in the raid, and if they press yes their entire crew will be added to the raid. If the raid critically fails everyone who participates loses crew(depending on how much crew was on the ship). If succesful production on base will be lowered 10% and the production would be given to the participants until driven out(shared). If critically raided it gives some crew to participants along with production but it will be 20% of the production and will be much harder to drive out.
Win/Lose rewards/penalties: If the attacking force is fought back(That is, every single attacker retreated for at least 15 minutes) the attacking force would be humiliated and will be shared to the defender for a WEEK PLUS will each receive a cost to repair losses and damages to their fleet. The defender would each receive a random artifact(The kind depends on the average strength and number of the attackers)+an increase to production+bragging rights+the ability to pummel the attacker for a week+receive an increase to total research for the legion for every attacker that attacked the base and every defender that lived(Did not have to repair).
Now, if the attacker won, they will be VERY happy. They will each receive 3 random artifacts that are at least 5000 points worth+bragging rights+MASSIVE experience+added total research for THEIR starbase+a temporary PvP bonus for each attacker(50% extra attack and defense). The defender would have to pay TRILLIONS to repair+be humiliated+would lose one artifact from their hold that is worth under 5000 points+would lose ability to gaurd anything for 24 hours+would have a 50% decrease in production from starbase.
Imagine an EPIC battle of legion versus legion where dozens of different ships of all sizes and ranks battle each other to the death in order for great riches and rewards. Now imagine if graphics were added in adition to this That would be awesome(That last part was kind of a joke, graphics dont need to be added)
MASSIVE PLANETARY BATTLES: SUMMARY: If a planet(Such as a Dyson or BETTER

) goes over a certain ammount of defense, population, attack, and invasion defense the capture of the planet will require the combination of the rew of DOZENS of ships to defend and invade. It would be the combination of the crew of all invading ships and all ships that decide to gaurd when this is initiated. The equation for percentage to win would be like this(Max would be 90% chance to win)Total Crew of Attacker/(Total Crew of Defender+Invasion Defence and Defense)x20 so if the attacker had 1200 crew and defender had 1000 crew+200 defense(It would have to be much more to require this kind of engagement)would mean there would be a 20% chance of capture.
COORDINATED FLEET ENGAGEMENTS AND WAR: If you do not like another legion or the other legion has been attacking your members you would be able to declare war. When you declare war you are able to disable/hack/raid 3 members of enemy legion per day. The leader of the group could send a notification box thing to the enemy legion asking for a fleet battle. If yes those that decide to join are randomly matched with an enemy. When one dies the winner is matched with someone else. Once all enemies of one side have been disabled a winner is declared and rewards are giving to all men still standing. They will be given 10 hours worth of production, massive experience, and 3 random artifacts at least worth 3000 AP's.
I hope you like my ideas and thank you for reading this giant wall of text
