Why would they be different?

Additional to add, I haven't spent any of either yet.

Note that you won't always receive a badge when hacking or raiding. It depends on the target and whether you have previously hacked/raided them in the last 12 hours, etc.

Also, when hacking a ship that has no more resources to take, you may receive a badge, but your 'Successful Hacks' will not increase.

how are there more blues than hacks?

Sorry, that was my original point... I should have made it more clear

But I've also had 45 successful raids, but only received 39 badges. But your right, I may have done it once or twice within 12 hours or someone lower than 50% because someone posted a target so its probably right.

I think there are two kinds of successful hacks. Successful where you get no research, looks like a fail (5 min counter instead of 15) but badge, it probably counts as a fail.

The other kinds gives you research or planet, a badge and a 15 min timer.

Yep, honestly I would rather get the badge without the research.. Boost the badge count, and only have to wait 5 mins.. Thanks for everyones help!
