You should join it. It is essentially a pro-PVP group. There are 2 groups ATM. I run the one called "The Dark Side".

Everyone in the game is a target. The game still works the same way. We value PVP, getting ahead and having fun as opposed to an abject fear of losing.

Heh. I prefer to be a predator rather than a prey in the PVP world..

ah well, alliances would seem to let people take either role a bit easier. It wasn't really my intent to take on all of DOO, there just weren't very many alternatives as it was always an eventuality of PVP. The Dark Side may eventually be just bullies for all I really care about any issue of 'honor'. It is a pro-PVP group themed around evil. My main hope is that we engage in the battles that benefit us the most.

Just cuz you dont like him doesnt mean everyone does.

I haven't actually been very antagonizing to anyone with words. I'm sure it has happened, but oh well. I'm not announcing any plans for wars that will screw over my legion. The old system promoted singling people out, this one pretty much does the opposite. I'm not going to go off-the-hilt crazy and tell everyone to constantly terrorize every DOO player available, though that would actually be a rather sound strategy, I was hoping to create a legion that functions like a legion.

Hehe. Actually, I have NO beef with SpoonyJank simply cuz he is darn brave guy in face of utter defeat and doesn't even flinch or cry about it.. He is taking it very well.. For last month, I stayed neutral and left him alone while he was hounding on my DOO members for long time to the point that I started getting multi-alerts on daily basis about SpoonyJank.. That was when I decided to join in and lay destruction on his ship. I decided to mimic USA shock-n-awe tactic on my opening attack that I literally emptied out all his restriction of disable: 16, Raid: 16 and hack: 4 into Disable: 0, Raid: -8, Hack: -7 within 12 hours. I raided him 16 times in 10 minutes approx doing about 4 or 5 crit raids (but artifacts weren't that good but I didn't even care) and hacked 4 times too (but no crits). I disabled him 9 times during that time.. Then next two days including today, I continued to disable, hack and raid him. he really added my raid total from 250 to little over 300 now (with few raids on others) to secure my #1. I also got my kill number very close to 1,000 (only 2 kills away). I am hoping to score my 1,000th kill on SpoonyJank (I guess almost 30 disables so far in last 2 or 3 days since I joined in) alone that will be memoriable. After that, I might finally give him peace for his deeds against DOO in last 1 month.. Also, it gave me good excuse to deplete my over-supplied loads of PVP artifacts (I have 1,300 cargo size of PVP stuff. ) High artifact production does give crapload of PVP stuff.. SpoonyJank. You got guts as a prey who refuse to give up. Grats. I also wanted to say so new players can view you in positive light so your legion can have chance to grow.

I've sort of been letting nocifer kill me up to the limit so I might get a clean slate in a few days and because I need to defend various planets. I could probably take him out once while he sleeps but I don't particularly see the point. It takes a ton of energy just to spring his traps and he has a ton of shields so it would probably take an hour and a half and cost 300-400 energy for one kill. I probably should have given it a shot for the hell of it. It would be a bit counter to my plans now though.

Operation Hello Kitty has been initiated.

You managed to take me down to just 8 hp in my hull when I was sleeping then I repaired it then went on Labor Weekend Camping for 3 days (I kept it secret so you won't know that I was inactive for 3 days giving you real shot at disabling me).. Sorry that you weren't the 1,000th kill on my ship's hull as I was just responding to an alert to kill.. You were 999th however..

i think i could do it with far less energy and one repair job. not that i would want to do it... because i know he could easily return the favor without much effort.
edit: this is one of the reasons i really want a dueling system. no messy attacks that can expand conflicts. i just want to test my abilities, not get crushed on all fronts.

His shields regenerate ~400 every time you repair after the first time, so there is a big difference if you are even a little bit stronger or weaker than someone else giving it a shot.

I started with 400 or more energy and got him down to 8 hull. Yeah I should have used more artifacts. I only used a nanite hull swarm and by the time i got down to 80 energy I used an EMP sphere. Thats about it. Anything going better would have killed him. Full weapons and hull and the rest defense. Also reactors... I don't know if the defense was really necessary if he was topping out anyways.
I'm guessing with a 6 minute repair timer he gets about 4 clicks or 8%. So 400 shields every repair would give him 4816 shields. My guess is its less. He pretty much has endless decks and will hit most people's damage cap anyways, so having good weapons and hull would be the key. I only have heavy quantum devastators. I spend nearly all my research on energy modules and planet structures. If I were a konqul fixer, had weapons and hull that were a tier better, and actually used more artifacts, it would probably only take 100-150 energy. Maybe even less if I had less decks. I sure do a lot of PVP to not specialize in it. I guess I have more of a long-haul strategy. I'll probably switch race/professions someday in the far future though.

More rank 160+ members needed. Save the colorful people from the melty mutant zombies! PS: and yes, if you use a containment missile on me while an RSL implant is active, you will not like the consequences. And yes, my cargo is weak.
