History session is in As most of you know our legion is new and rose the leaderboard ranks kinda quick. In the beginning no major group wanted to base fight. We took a handful of invites from random mid rank legions and told them directly that this isn't permanent but message us if you want help with any other bases. We had no desire to burn our reds since our base was only level 2 or 3 at this time. When we broke into the top 20 or so we still couldn't get into a solid base group. Our friends in Ni reached out and we started to base fight with Ni, Champions of Time, and The Rangers. Was a nice base group for a long time. The Ni/CoT/TR group and EotS started to disagree on base fighting so we pulled out of the group. When we hit top 10 for strength we were turning heads from the rest of the top 10 legions. We thought LoI wanted to base with us. We actually did receive a battle invite but unfortunately for them, we had already joined the Trium secretly. Someone mentioned GD was interested (not sure if this is real) but we know GD isn't active enough for what EotS wanted. So then it comes down to either join THB/CN or join Triumvirate Maelstrom has a handful of friends in EotS so he knew we were looking for a faster paced base group. He messaged me and we began talking about joining together. The only problem was EotS didn't want to have a soft NAP. He said ok, I will talk to the others and we can talk more tomorrow. Tomorrow came and THB locked the EotS base. It of course died and EotS members felt stabbed in the back considering we were discussing joining together. It was simply a lack of communication and had Maelstrom been online during scan time, our base wouldn't have been locked. Maelstrom is a great guy, this in no way is meant to reflect badly on him. Now while our base was locked by THB and gang. Dysos, GP, and TU were having fun shooting at the badgers to slow them down on our base - initial spark of interest I had been talking to my friend Darth and he knew we wanted a better base group. I had talked to him many times about what legions he think would be good for a base group. Eventually he just said lets get you to join Trium. A few weeks of talking and we were given a chance. We were brought in on a level 7 base fight to test us out and we did not disappoint. A few test bases later we were officially accepted. After we joined the Trium, suddenly everyone was dissapointed that we 'gave up and joined the enemy'. 'We thought EotS was going to take down the Dysonians etc. etc. ' Realize that there is only 1 top legion we NEVER had a single problem with or were treated like a second hand legion by. That would be the Dysonians. They were never our enemy. Now there are people who want to see us leave the Trium and join the badger group. People only care now that we are 2nd in strength. Other top legions had their chance to group with us and unfortunately for everyone else. The Trium didn't screw up their chance. Hopefully this small history lesson stops some of the whining about EotS being allied with Dyso, GP, and TU.

Just so there isn't any mud slinging I can vouch that this is true I was trying to recruit EOTS into our group when their base was locked. I felt bad I wasn't able to prevent that till we could see where It would have went but Things happen,Not the word I wish I could use but none the less this is how things progressed. I can say however though I'm not sure It would have happened anyways cause of the no soft nap. I don't see how a battle pact can survive unless you are respectful of that other legions planets If we didn't have a soft nap as soon as the first planet was taken It would have ended. So here we are In the present I may not like where EOTS parks their ships for their holiday picnics but It is what It Is. Tree I appreciate the fact you mentioned our conversation I think your good guy as well even If you keep poor company

I agree with everything Tree mentioned, and also, much like Tree said regarding Dysonians and never having issues, the same could be said for THB and CN as well. As my stance has always been, and remains, EotS has no "enemies" - we have had a few disputes with certain people/legions, but mostly harmless and short lived.

You are one of the few outside EotS who understand why we never grouped together and hopefully now the rest of the galaxy has some understanding and stops with the snide remarks that seem to pop up here and there. I hate having soft NAPs but they are necessary for the top legions if they wanna keep the peace and fight bases effectively. We initially did not have a soft NAP with trium but eventually adopted it. (should have done so from the beginning)

I personally appreciate the explanation, Tree, especially because you owed that to no one. I'm also disappointed in how THB handled that - I would also feel as the door shut on discussions at that point. Regardless of your standings, I wish EotS the best - as I would any legion. I personally take no sides in this war.

Which is why when they were, they should have let their members know they were discussing it, and to hold off offensive actions. It's a courtesy, yeah, but a considerate one.

A bad coincidence that left some feeling betrayed. Discussions were only just starting at that time so no need for Maelstrom to tell the entire legion.

Interesting chain of events....I agree with you Tree that no one was in the wrong...one of those things that happen. In the end it's a game meant to be played for fun. Things change, people change and alliances change....if they don't the game would become stagnant. Congrats on your quick ascension on the leader board. Oh and as a side note....toughest level 6 base (as it was at the time) I had run across

Gotta keep the game interesting - our only goal.

Do not care about the why and drama behind it. On 1 hand u can do anything u want and go for it, but on the other hand are u serious? U guys sit there and boost about being expert planet thief's and this and that and yet u 1st did a soft nap then allied the top alliance? lol Not hard steeling planets when u have few people/legions to worry about. Game is meant to be fun, so have fun and hope u have a lot of friends over there, I just think u did not have a lot of friends over there and I think both sides were a bit cowardly and would rather beat up on the lesser fams then actually have a little competition once in a while. U guys take down bases like their made of butter and you are telling me u just had to have a top alliance to continue doing so? In anycase enjoy Tree and have a great Christmas:P

Interesting read.
From our point of view, we did see the rise, but already had a battle group. As far as I know, there wasnt much discussed or any knowledge that you guys considering joining our battle group. But as i have said before when i visited over, we dont have any negative opinions regarding Eots, not favored the action, but hey you cant make everyone happy.
I am glad you guys found a good group to base kill with. (and look forward you guys passing Dyso's haha)

Oh yea, we also like that every base fight is kill kill kill and never sitting on our hands waiting for a few more people to tap the base. Guess this legion has a poor European member count

Since there are 5 legions in the Triumvirate now can we refer to you all as the Pentragram?
