For those whom may not know yet, Glenn Jordan AKA: BOT000 of the GL universe has lost his long battle with cancer on July 16th (forgive how late this news is as I was away on vacation)
I met Glenn in this game via a PvP exchange. I seen he was a high level player and tried to recruit him to SSA. We immediately hit it off and had a great rapport. He informed me that he was there (Hand of Vengeance) just to help out friends and that as soon as he was done there he would join us. In the meantime we stayed in touch and I got to know him as a person and about his struggle with cancer.
His story was incredible. Glenn had 3 kidney transplants in his past and the cancer was caused by the anti-rejection meds he had to take. Glenn had cancer of the liver, lungs, and skin. He had to do chemo 14 days a month and to do a weekly drive 200 miles 1 way to go to Duke, and through it all he never complained. He had good days and bad ones too but all he wanted to do was to enjoy playing GL and help everyone he could to enjoy it as well. Real life to Glenn was played out one day at a time and took nothing for granted. His kindness, selflessness, and enduring spirit should be an example to us all!
On the behalf of the all of us at Subspace Alpha, I want to thank you for the time we had with you. Be at peace my friend

Bot certainly had a way of making friends wherever he went. He was in Empire X for a short time, and left quite the impression in his generosity and kindness. It was a sad day for us when he left for Subspace Alpha, but we knew that he had friends there. None were as sad as today, however, when I learned that we lost that tough, yet gentle soul here in the GL universe. Fly safe, my friend.

I'd much rather GL lose players to boredom than this... Never ran across BOT, but I must say it's a loss no matter how you look at it. My sympathies go out to all his friends and family.

As a SSA member, it saddens me to hear about this. My prayers and condolences to his family. I propose that to honor him we shouldn't kick his profile out, just let it sit there as a way of respecting his service to our legion and for the dedication to the game that it took him to get as high up there as he did.

Be at peace my friend I recently found this out while I was on vacation, I received a response from his sibling telling me that his/her brother had passed and some of the details. Glenn became a GREAT friend of mine in COT, and decided to come with me to HOV to help with their base. He had made a TON of friends playing GL, and he and I became very close. Truly sad news...the best to Glenn and his family -
