First things first, thanks goes out to Dan for making such a great game, and thanks to everyone who made the wiki, the source of what got me this far without making a complete fool of myself.

About my ship: If you want stats and list of modules, etc., ask later, I'm trying to keep this short. I am what the wiki classifies as a slow ranker, that is, I rank up once about every 3 days (though recently got down to about 2 days), so if you're looking for someone that will eat up ranks, I'm not your man. Sorry. I am an avid player that plays simply when I can, and am content with that. Due to my ranking up speed, I have been playing this game for about a year; so yes, I am avid. That whole time, I have not been in any Legion, but I have noticed that I'm getting to the point where I need one to keep going successfully.

What I would like in a Legion: Mostly NPC, with some PVP combat thrown in. I do not want a primarily PVP legion, that's just not my playing style; I PVP for badges mostly, including planetary invasions (only in certain instances) and nothing more (after all, those artifacts look real nice). Artifact, Credit, and Planet sharing all thrown in, and I will do the same to my fellow Legion mates. I am active and log in at least once a day, if even for just 5 minutes to spend my energy on missions or get mineral and artifact shipments, so my 2% bonus will likely always be there, unless I go on vacation or something; if I do, I will do my best to let my Legion members know that I will be gone and for about how long I will be gone. As for bases: like I've said, I've never been in Legion, so any base at any level with any bonuses will be fine for me. An active chat is a must!!!! Having a Legion with an inactive chat is like having a car with no gas in it; it just won't work for me. Another must is a Legion full of people who realize this is a game! Therefore, time must be allowed for real life!! Reason for this: I am an overly active college student involved with the Athletic Training program and most of the week (and even the weekends) is filled with going to practices and games to do what Trainers do. I even had a soccer game today that I was at for a little over 5 hours, so time be allowed for that, as well as the homework load that comes with taking 5 classes (16 credit hours). Those same people who realize this is just a game I would like to be a fun, laid back group, able to talk about anything and have lots of laughs. I once heard a nightmare story of an alliance (in another game) that controlled what their members said on the alliance chat!! Everything was censored and controlled!! A chat like that will make me outright leave without a second thought.

Vygoid Genome is the place for you. We're probably the galaxy's most social legion, with not only a Legion Comm that's so active you'll have to learn to use the Comm Archive sometimes to keep up, but also a Facebook Group that allows for better legion coordination, contests, and all sorts of other benefits.

Vygoid Genome has a plethora of NPC hunters, including myself and IceDemon who posted above, as well as several heavy hitting PvPers, and a nice mix of mission ships too. It's not uncommon for there to be five or more NPC bosses alerted at once and dozens more elites popping up throughout the day everyday, and with members on four continents, there's always somebody on.

Our Level 5 Base will soon pay out 25k RP each per day and is one of the strongest in the galaxy. We will help you out with credits, artifacts, planets, alerts, anything that will make your ship, and subsequently our legion stronger. Also, we have support from to not one, but three, of the top sixteen legions in the game.

I agree with Anna on this one...Vygoid Genome is one of the most social legions I've ever had the pleasure of dropping by...But if you would prefer a new and growing legion with protection from a Top 25 Legion (Mars Prime Los) Then give Saturn Prime Los a try and see if you like it...we have players around your rank and we already have a level 3 base that will soon be level 4...and we don't care if your slow ranking...my friend (and one of the leaders of that legion) is a slow ranker and has been playing for about 6 months and is at 77 and has over 800 Player kills...he's a cool dude along with the rest of Saturn...fly safely my friend.

Would you like to join Battlestar Galactica? We pretty much fit into the description you gave, we mainly focus on NCP's and get lots of elites and bosses shared each day. Also, we are rank 26 on the leaderboard, and have a level 5 base, with a CT lab that can make 7 designs. We are normally pretty full, and get a great planet bonus. At the moment, we have 57/60 members and a planet bonus of 112%. We are all very friendly, and nearly all of our members are online daily.

As a rank 317 I would personally recommend Vygoid Genome as Annabell stated above they are very social, and are a great mix of players.
They have a great base that is VERY hard to kill, and they are led by great people.
They are a very good legion, with great connections, so give them a try.

I would suggest you one of 2 legions

Vygoid Genome or Stormkyn Alliance 2 (who are Allies BTW)

SA2 is a lil more into PVP than VG and have more high ranks but besides that they are more or less equal. both have lvl 5 bases, great community of players and great leaders (*wink wink Annabell)

Keep the offers up guys, I still have not made my decision, though I do have it very narrowed down. I'll most likely make my mind up by the end of tomorrow. To all the people who have offered and to future offers, the single biggest thing to me is making the time for my overactive personal life. If I get in a Legion that are intense role-players and seem to expect me to be on every waking moment, then I will outright leave faster than if the chat was inactive. Need to keep the priorities straight, you understand.

You could also come to We Don't Exist. We have a level 4 base, with plenty of research. We are close to full, only 2 spots available. You would love it here. Very social, and we are holding a vote right now to see which one of our new members gets a planet, free of charge. We mainly are NPC, but we also do some PvP, I'm level 72 and Deadly. We could really use you!

focused on research , with the base bonus set to collect equal shares

we share planets all the time, and help with invasions
we share all artifacts and minerals as needed, with no "buying" between legion members, we work on the assumption that if you need help, you will be willing to help in the future
we are mainly mission and npc based , but a few of us pvp alot
npc's are shared constantly, and we have rules for "bumping" ppl off of the rewards
our policy for badge hits is to not alert them, but if you are getting slammed by the same player or legion we can help

Our base gives out roughly 37k in RP per day, we are avid NPC'ers, with around 9-10 alerts of NPC's a day, all in your rank bracket (I should know, I'm the same rank as you ), we have a number of PvP'ers who would be able to back you up on alerts, and what's more, our leaders , KenSelvin and Oggie, are experienced, helpful and in ken's case, hilarious).
