This thread is to help all the people having trouble recruiting and to list the "do" and "do not" of recruiting techniques. Please feel free to add your own suggestions, what has worked for your legion, and what puts people off. Lets break this into 2 categories; high level/low level. I will update this first post with the worthwhile suggestions we recieve to save time from scrolling through the list.

Note: If you don't agree with a certain suggestion explain why and give an alternative. Don't start a flame war.

High Level Recruiting

Do
1.)List your Ct-lab discoveries
2.)State the strength of your base and it's payouts
3.)Set a standard. Unless you want to be bombarded by new players wanting a piece of your base payout and otherwise not helping. Or maybe you just want a warm body for the legion bonus
4.)List any particular strengths or specialties

Do Not
1.)Offer people credits- High level people have money. This makes you sound desperate.
2.)Tell people you will have their backs in a fight.This is expected from any legion.

Low Level Recruiting

Do
1.)Remember to say what your legion's name is. (too many people start a thread and forget this crucial info...)
2.)Be open to mergers. Have the group with the strongest base absorb the others. Maybe agree on a new name.
3.)Be creative- have a theme that people can have some fun with.
4.)Offer planet shares. Some types of planets can be hard to find at low levels due to limited scanning power. This is a good way for your legion to help each other get their production started.

Do not
1.)Promise your members things you cannot actually provide.
2.)Use vulgarity and the slang terms of a 13 year old

Also, Low leveled, say that you can offer planets (If you can)
