Info on Battle Pacts and Diplomacy.

What are the details on Battle Pacts? How do they work? Are they the same as non-aggression pacts?

They are not the same.
Battle Pacts allow one legion to invite the other to join in an assault on an enemy legion's base.
Non-Aggression Pacts simply remind you if the ship or planet that you are about to attack belongs to one of your allies.

Thanks. Thought that they had to be different. So, are Battle Pacts open ended and single purposed? I mean do they continue until broken and only used to attack other bases?

Battle Pacts are only used in Base Combat and they remain intact until one side or the other decides to break them.
Once your legion has locked on to an enemy base, then you will be allowed to invite the various other legions that you have Battle Pacts with, to join in the battle, provided that the legion being invited hasn't engaged an enemy base within the last eight hours. In other words, a Battle Pact does not override the Base Combat timer.

Ok. Makes good sense. Now here is another stupid question. How is the battle coordinated? My legion was invited to join a battle pact. So, do all my legion members have to be online at the same time as the other legion's members? Seems a bit complicated if that's the case. Wish all this was better explained in the help files.

you also can't find the base of someone you have a battle pact with.

You all don't have to be online, the participants of the Battle Pact are simply invited to join in on Base Combat from the other legion's target lock, and the enemy base can still be found and attacked in the same manner as if your legion had been the one to lock on as opposed to your pact mate.
