I'm so disappointed now in Jtaries.......all that advice about Improving my "tin can" and you don"t even practice what you preach. My ship would look like yours if i had feeder ships too.

This is turning into a make fun of Cosa thing :?

A little late but good to see badgers can do some damage when you irritate them enough.
And for future posts, no one cares if someone is not loyal or has some real life thing distracting them. The damage that gets done is the damage that gets done, no excuses (unless facebook crashes again)

Not sure if this proved anything, as they had tried and failed earlier (but drained AP), and came back with CN to finish the job.

That being said, HB was hitting nearly the full 8 hours on that first lock despite knowing the math was firmly against them, which shows some serious dedication. To give the benefit of the doubt, they were probably praying for a miracle BP and knew they'd try again later (so why not drain AP?) rather than just mindlessly clicking.

Had the second lock occurred a few hours later, I am not sure our AP shipment would have saved us. We would have had a lot more ships awake, ready to harass and defend... but CN/HB (who were already hitting pretty hard), would probably have more ships and legions involved, too. Most likely, would have just dragged the fight out a few more hours :)

So I got to talk to the wild hunt folks a few hours ago, been busy to post, but here it goes....

Just so the record is set straight.

The wild hunt was locked a first time and HB failed miserably!!
Then they got lucky a second time and got the base while it was low on AP from the first lock, and that is when they managed to kill it, with some extra help from other legions.
Wild hunt had about 50 AP during the 2nd lock. (approximate number I heard from WH, someone who saw the base can confirm )

So although the picture makes it look like the base was taken down in 2.5 hours it was a total of 10.5 hours!

A 16 hour lock to kill ONE level 8 base, WITH HELP.... and HB brags about it!
Especially after HB has been saying, how illogical it is to lock a tough base, while you could NPC for 8 hours.

Well according to HB's logic, they could've NPCed for 10.5 hours instead of hitting that base.

Big Kudos to Wild hunt for being one of the younger level 8's out there and still warding off the vultures and making them use a 16 hour slot to get their little raids and silvers :)

AP at the start of the second lock was 69 and the second lock occurred more than 24 hours after the first lock.

I worked two 23:00 GST to 07:00 GST shifts between the locks. The first lock started approximately an hour prior to my shift on Friday so I was a bit sad as I was unable to partake in the first attack for very long. The second lock occurred after the end of the next shift on Sunday morning. During the first lock TWH had 24 fixers, during the second they had 20 fixers.

TWH gets ... 46 or 51 ap per shipment I do believe. I didn't spend much time checking their modules but do recall the 2 warp arches. When I began hitting prior to their use of any ap repairs they had 69 AP and had buffed their defense with Decoy and Chromatic buffs along with their hull for 8 ap spent. Meaning they began the second lock at 77 AP. Thus the first lock ended with them at either 26 or 31 points of remaining AP.

For unbuffed hull TWHs base is around 860k. This means that during the first lock they had roughly 2,924k hull and repaired for ~2.2 million hull per 4 ap spent. Discounting 16 ap for their used buffs across that lock this means that they repaired either 23 or 22 times during the first lock for a total of ~50.6-48.4 million hull I do not know if full repairs were used during the first lock. Had they used one during that lock then for the first lock the amount of damage stacked would be approximately 55 million plus whatever for shield recharge.

During the second lock they used one full repair and 17 AP repairs for a total of roughly 28.89 million in repairs. This means during the second lock over 30 million damage was stacked. To math that for you clearly 860*3*.6*17 + 860+970(base hull shields) +860*3 = 30.762 million.

Just so you know.

Yep, all that sounds close enough.
As is our custom, all available credit repairs were most surely used on the first lock, so the damage figure is larger.

Congratulations to Honey Badgers for doing the hard work on the first lock and to both Cosa and Badgers for hitting hard and fast consistently on the second.

Naturally, we knew almost immediately that the base would surely go down on the second lock, but we made them work for it for as long as we could.
To be honest, just rolling over would have felt a bit like cheating them out of what was a well earned team victory.

Kudos all round and hope the RNG was kind with the crystals and stingy with adumbrates and parsers.

Man... I know it's probably weird for the guy with the base that went down, but I can't help but feel sorry anytime someone does over 1 Million on a good hard base and gets the CTP equivalent of taking down a 4. I feel your pain.

That really is pretty damn sucky after a good team effort.
Sorry to hear about that too, you'd hope for better after a good amount of damage on a nice 8.

As is often the case, the RNG Goddess is cruel and capricious. Surely we can bet one of the tappers got a double crystal ;)

To set the record a bit more straight Bonbon.

We locked them with 85 AP (2 WarpArches, 1 EliosArch), Battlestations -4AP, Dimensional Decoy -3AP, Auxiliary Fortification -3AP and Chromatic Collective -2AP, pretty sure no more buff, HB joined after 10. The rest is already written.

The Damage was done and if they had full AP we would have taken them out one or two hours later.

Adumbrate Station btw

Kudos to you Deigobene we didnt fight so hard since the last Ni lock.

A few ad nausem thoughts.

#1) stations and parsers for raiding the base---- can't help but smile
#2) good fight, turnabout being fair and all--kudos
#3) did some math of my own...there appears to be some questioning of damage applied by derbomber and bemos.

According to the screenshot

DerBomber did 2974193, which is 313.73 damage per second (rounding to 158 minutes even)
Bemos did 2510865, which is 264.86 by the same method.

This does not seem impossible nor highly questionable imo. It does suggest a very good an interrupted ping for a a long duration of time, without lag. The base defense was around 99k, so I'll leave any ancillary analysis there for people who don't mind ANOVAs and acceptance of a sliding beta error.

@ Diegobene, kudos on being a good sport here on forums. Not a lot of that goes around in this game.

@ Aiyah, you got drunk and decided to multi one of our ships. I saw nothing bad on your comms, the guy you multied called you sweetie, that was the worst of it. Then you go all psycho chick on us and start threatening our legion. Cosa doesnt take threats lightly so we started hunting your legion as you had promised to do ours. You shall forever be referred to by Cosa as "sweetie" lol.. Next time you shouldnt let people know you hate that so much.

@ TWH in general, I actually have a great respect for your legion. Considering the age of your legion, you guys have made great progress.. Kudos. I have also had prior experience fighting with your legion back when TWH was still fairly new and I was in Nemesis. Nemesis was fighting both FU and TWH.. Turned out, TWH put up a better fight than FU. I look forward to fighting you guys again as I am confident it will be a much more interesting and fun fight than anything we currently get from PA. PA has pretty much bored me into a coma, I expect more from TWH.

Space is one of those who could be said to be "the man". Love your work dude. Hope all the old Cosa peeps are doing well.
I can say from reading comms, i think Aiyah had deleted some of the comms and there was some --call it 'questionable' commentary there.
All things equal, high road is prolly for everyone to call a mulligan and move forward.

Ps- tell zooch, i have a load of cheddar waiting to send to him!

This actually I took as a compliment.

The amount of times I drink in a year I can count on one hand, but when I do, I always tend to stomp whatever I see on the bt. C'est la vie.
