Do you guys keep "inactive" players in your legion?
If so how long do you keep them before booting them?
Would it make a difference if they were frequently "inactive", say a few times a month?

It really depends, if they are like mid to high level range keep them for awhile 2-3 weeks, might be on vacation or have computer failure. low levels 1-15ish i usually boot because they may have just quit they game. Dont boot a person if you know they are coming back or they are like one of your friends (that last one was like "DUH"...
Usually post a msg on the legion comm that you are going inactive or send the leader a private msg if the comm is used as a chat thing. Let people in the legion know to post or something if they go inactive so they wont get booted.

i would say auto kick if the player never contributes or never has much activity. it just opens a spot for a better player.

Hard to attract people when they see your legion is full and don't bother to apply.

if they dont let someone know that they are going to be inactive for a time we email them, and if there is no response in 24 hours we punt em out.

I have a player that just went inactive and is a rank 6. This person has never contributed info on planets or participated in any way. Should I boot em?

Inactive players don't count towards any bonuses or stats so unless you can think of a good reason to keep them, boot them.

Don't know about you but the longest my computer has been dead is 5 months, no email, no way to contact, no games nadda. In that situation it's not like you can leave a message on the com board. Note - 1st Edit - for punctuation, spelling and content 2nd Edit - removed the extraneous info

PM the player through FB messaging. I think it's cooler this way. Give the player a few days to confirm. Then demobilize him. Fleet stats are important of course but courtesy is always appreciated. I suggest demobilization instead of kicking (semantics). From a community, kicking has a sour sound to it. My ten cents Plamok
