Since GL beta seems to be a hit, would you consider a second server/game where the timers are much less? For those who play more often playing on a speed server makes it much more enjoyable. 1 min per energy v 3 makes you almost required to be on more often (the whole point of a speed version).

Get new relays. That way your recharge rate is reduced to less than 2 minutes per energy. IF you got wormhole relays + 2 F.A.T.H.E.Rs it should take less than one minute per energy

Im not under 1 min yet but let me tell you relays=delicious

I recently attained plasma relays and now howering around 2 minutes per energy now and lowing it, it feels soo fast, but it took me almost a weeks research before i got it (i averaged then like 350 RP per hour )

I scrapped all my modules to take over some juicy shared planet that was about to expire when I was short on credits. Later, I reinstalled some reactors that weren't the mk IV's that are right before the relays I'm using. Seeing as how I'm in the middle of research I got the best available... turns out reactors are actually pretty sweet too... not just a requirement for relays. The energy thread a long time ago used MK IV's as an example, but I think it can be useful use other "interim" reactors based on your playing habits.

I'm guessing people that specialize in energy don't install every new reactor they get seeing as they are insanely expensive.

Be patient. The game "speed" will pick up for you, and you are going to love it.

you are correct, with reactors and scanners, i only make the last one in a series. IE mark 4 reactors and mark 3 scanners. Although with my last reactors I did create the mark 2 versions because it takes sooooooo long to research the next ones even at 2500 research/hour and after learning the mark 4's It will take me awhile to be able to afford all 3 (1.4 billion per module)
