 Larger Revenue for GL = Development time goes faster?

Hey,

When I assisted a victim legion who got picked on by someone with rank of 72, that guy saw me and got "scared" so he literally spent over $1k cash to upgrade himself from 72 to 120ish in one single day AND upgraded his cruiser all way to (was massive titan that day then star destroyer next day).... His action really put a big smile on my face (more challenging for me). He's not cheating but he helped GL a lot. But that got me wondering.. I believe that GL has good potential for large subscription increase in the long run and some of subscribers sure have similar "addict" like that guy. Imagine... A simple 1 M subscribers spending average $3 per account. That will net $3M to just one or two developer.. That is mind boggling.. All I just wanted to know if down the road, would the developer hire more people on the team to make the game improvement go faster to keep us entertained more. That would bring in more revenue and player retainment better.. We can use good artists especially (animated ship-to-ship combat, more ship designs, etc), development speed to go faster, etc..

I just thought to share my opinion. I just wanted GL to get BETTER over time. It's now one of my favorite sci-fi FB game (I played Master of the Orion II ALOT in '90s and this reminds me alot of MOO2) all the time and I WANT to see it get better!! :)

P.S. And no! I am not seeking for a job here! Lol. I have great job already..

I'd be glad to be an ideas person. I submit so much to the suggestion forums. If the game get's big enough, you can set it up as it's own website.

Awesome! Sounds like that you are willing to expand the developer team. ;) I think that's a smart move..

What I would suggest is to maybe contact Castle Age artist team for references or something like that..

I still am playing Castle Age and love it for fantasy based FB game (One of best fantasy based fb game for me).. One of it's strongest point is the art.. Castle age has amazing art that I always like to look at and haven't tired me yet cuz they kept churning out new arts months after months.. Where is it for GL? Nothing.. I would love to see GL to have same caliber as Castle Age.. Just a thought. :)

If we already have great artists who already play GL then that'll be awesome either way. :)

That's a good thing Dan ;) Let us know if you need a council to bounce mission ideas etc. I did enjoy doing that when I worked with WotC and Scrye ;)

Great job, I agree this game really reminds me of MOO2.

If anything I am planning something to get fan ideas onto the forums. Have plenty of ideas I just need to filter threw them and get them organized a bit before I open the thread. Helps to know what mission style I want to focus on before I open the thread to everyone.

If anything it might be a chance for us fans to get some of are own ideas into the game. But I have DMed and played in D&D games for years (even have a bunch of books that could help me draw some idea from). But I will likely need to run some of it threw word to reduce any problems that I know will show up

Perhaps, a contest to get your Mission chain idea into the game? That would be cool!

I have my fan thing started in the galaxy pub (or such) with my first two missions put up. Thinking on more but ggetting working right take a bit of time.
