 Quick Thought About Raiding

ok, so right now the only point of raiding is to get a yellow badge. thats great, but what happens when you have more yellow badges than you care to spend on dispatch centers.

The other reward you get it a pathetic amount of artifact or minerals. approximately 6 minutes of production tops for me when i raid. This is good if you raid alot, but with a 15 minute cooldown timer the most you can get is 40% more artifact or mineral production per hour, and most people dont raid alot.

I propose that if you are raiding a target that has performed an offensive action against you, such as a hack/raid/disable/used an artifact then you have a chance to get rescued prisoners, an artifact that gives 3 rank points. I figure if theres an artifact already named 'rescued prisoners' then it should be incorporated into the pvp system. The more offensive actions taken against you would increase the probability of getting them by say 10%, and disables by 15%. so if they containment missile you, krionite missile you, disable you, hack you, and raid you, then you would get 55% chance of getting rescued prisoners if you attack them.

This would play off the idea of the artifact 'gift of the naughty' where the victim could use the artifact against the agressor, so the code is already kind of in place, it just requires a bit of tweaking for the probabilities.

I like this idea in many ways. potential to go badly tho. how long for it to where off is one thing that would be needed to know.

i was thinking maybe 12 hours. but that might be a bit much, so maybe 6-8.

I think If I disabled a ship equivalent to myself I'd have to not get any artifacts, only minerals and raid them 20 or more times over the course of 5 hours to even pay for the repair bill, which was necessary to raid in the first place.
