exotic reactor
A artifact when you use it , it burns away 10000 exotic matter and fully recharges your energy.
obtain via a mission maybe

It could be nice if they made an Exotic Reactor though, except it works like any other reactor, just uses Exotic Matter to build.

itll take along time to stock up to 10k exotic matter though, ive been playing 3 months and i only have 8000 exo-matter, and i almost never use it.

i read ferrus's idea, you can still send exotic matter, to help build a exotic reactor whether if it is just a reactor or fully recharges.

we can make it that the complex parts builds the reactor, get the exotic reactor before you can start burning away exo-matter.

just a thought, there are stuff like exotic pulsers and exotic labs so i thought this might be a half decent idea

yeah, im all for modules being blueprint items built with exotic matter or xts-9, but for wasting exotic matter... im holding on to mine right now cause i have yet to do the prejor missions or the exotic missions. i have 60k and thats not even enough to get half way through the exotic mission chain...

in high level you can produce 5k-20k exotic matter / day. Imagine all high level have 2 exotic reactor a day.

maybe a limit of how many reactors? orr make it that it takes 3 exotic matter to recharge 1 energy point, idk exactly know how much stuff high rankers get

why not 100k exotic matter and 900k credits to build an exotic reactor, size 40 energy 90, module energy penalty -90, limit 4. that way relays or ion ballistae or exotic pulsers dont penalize you AS much, and you have some leeway when you forget something, or you just streight up dont have to uninstall energy weapons anymore.

im not either. but its easy to get credits. i pull in 800k a day. and as for exotic matter, its supposed to take you a while to get it so that people dont get everything instantly.

Bottom line... You CAN NOT make something like this use Exotic Matter directly. That would allow someone to pass energy. If it was a mission dropped module like the Exotic Pulser, fine. The mission steps would require x amount of XM. Or require XM to BUILD one, that would be little different than requiring regular minerals (Sendable) for regular reactors. Its not a bad idea since I love energy almost as much as guns, but there is already plenty of uses for XM. Even at the higher levels after they've finished the Exotic missions, there is still the Purger mission.

Why a +90 energy bonus and a -90energy bonus, where I live +90 + -90 = 0

module energy penalty -90. so that would be like +90 energy if you have 90 energy worth of negative penalty for relays and energy cannons. so the max you could get is a +180, but the only immediate effect you would see is +90 with everything uninstalled. the energy penalty energy would be so you dont have to uninstall all your energy cannons every time you level, or if you forget its not as bad.

They could just make it a reactor; of course they would limit how many of the reactors you can have on your ship. It really wouldn't be a problem; sure you can send Exotic Matter, but that wouldn't be any worse with this than with any other use of it, if that much. Right now you can share Exotic Matter to make Star Chart Purgers, which you can make as many of as you want; being able to build a few reactors a little sooner isn't a big deal at all. I'm sticking with my suggestion of normal reactors built with Exotic Matter; it doesn't become a big deal that you can share EM, but they would be useful enough to have.

Yes make normal reactor with exotic matter if not a big deal. But the original idea was full energy recharge, this thing is abuse.
