 Planet invasion suggestion

-Think it's totally ridiculous that someone who's more than 40% higher rank can invade a lower players planet. This system is totally open to abuse, which i have already heard of happening, such as a rank 429 player invading a planet belonging to a player ranked 120.

-Why dont you impliment the restriction of (less than 40% of your rank) like with the badges in the battle tab rewards, but actually put a block on players above this restriction from attacking planets that belong to lower ranked players. It doesnt stop these players from sharing the planets they've found with someone in their legion who is closer to the rank of the planets' owner, to allow them to attack instead, making the game a lot more balanced.

i disagree. although ive had almost all my best planets stolen, if your going to invade a planet you should get something for it. no matter what the rank of the defender is. Instead i think that lower levels should have the ability to build defensive structures that can actually ward off higher levels. even with my 4800 attack on my planet it was still taken in less than 2 minutes. and a level 10s 40 attack will be no match for me... so therefore my vote is for a mission that a beginner can do that would award an aegis shield. (this would be instead of starting out with the planetary aegis) you get 10 of them and it would provide 2500 invasion defense, limit 2 per planet. this way beginners that start out with some really good stuff would be able to keep it, even if it gets scanned the next day by a rank 400. HOWEVER if the player goes inactive then the aegis shield 'powers down' and provides no bonus.

Here is a different idea: a shield that provides triple the attacker's level to invasion defense.
*a level 10 will have to fight through 30 invasion defense
*a level 300 will have to fight through 900 invasion defense

There are so many planets out there could be better than the one you lose. Unless you spent money on it. Combine both shields/attack and cloak if the planet hasn't been discovered.

we're talking LOW levels. its easy for a 200, 250 to recover from a loss, even the loss of an amazing planet. its much harder for a 10-50 to do that.

OP: I really see your point. However, have you considered that some players go inactive and hog great planets? Of three planets that I've invaded, one was a decent Minerals Barren, one was a Terra and the other was a recently-made Oceanic. The Oceanic player was above my level, and the Terra and Barren were below. I haven't heard a peep about any of them, I know the Barren's player was inactive, and now I'm sure that the Terra's was too. Is it fair for a great planet to sit wasted?
