I do not think so. Bases are over rated at the high ranks, other than some sort of pride thing and cloak for planets. CT labs and daily buffs are about it. If you reach a point where the content does not do a thing for you, and you truly do not care much. Why hang around a legion?

I wanted to find out what game play was like without a legion. As an old Mafia Wars refugee from 2008-2010, about the only aspect of the game i really enjoy is killing stuff. So, i will kill my BT and hope for some base shares when in need.

I will see how i like it for a stretch. I think it can be done and disable my base daily at the FFA point , i dont care .

Pros:
- Kill whatever i want whenever i want
- No worries on base buffs and maint.
- No worries on who does not get my humor
- No worries on Bumping peeps from NPCs
- No worries day to day in house petty poo poo within a legion

Cons:
- LMs and Relics - Honestly, i used to only do them for the Legion. Relics are nice but i am anti internet game social.
- Cloak. Kind of took a hit on APH cloaking best planets but , who cares

Goals:
- Kill GeePee
- Kill everything
- Exotica Troll - It is a contested Planet. I will be contesting.
- Solo some level 8s
- Kill everything
- Kill everything

I find the social aspect of facebook games mundane,predictable and incredibly boring. The flirty girl profiles with no pics or the true life astronaut ninjas who took out Bin Laden. I do not partake. Gaming is just fantasy and i do not partake it on a personal level except in very few cases and those people have to be *real* I do not buy the battting eyelashes im so sexy routine and LOL at those who do.

For the duration of this game life for me, which i have quit on two occaisions my plans are to wreak havoc on my battle tab and exotica and to enjoy a fantasy game in my down time or at work where i can do what i want anyways.

Other than the usual request out of the game (use all buttons, more npcs etc etc etc) the only thing i would change is the penalty for going solo. I mean, in fantasy space galaxies far far away with spaceships n shi....stuff.....Why does there have to be such uniformity!?

Galaxy needs rogue elements with bad attitudes.

what about NPC alerts and help with NPC elites?, at lower/mid rank, you can earn a absolute ton of ctp at lower/mid rank, due to the high CTP drops from easy elite. And that helps no matter what, and helps even more if your not a $ player or don't spend much on this game. ( since the only real way to earn constant ctp without $ is to npc ).

All that being said too many low/mid ranks dont know how lucrative npcing is at their rank and i would agree with what youve said, I base how good my legion is on how fast they kill elites and how much is alerted.. since everything else doesnt mean much, with the exception of bases.

At my rank, the only issue is clusters. The rest are handled easily.

I dont think its for EVERYBODY, but i thought it would be fun and try!

Currenty when buffed, CFH is 53rd in strength 8D

yep i can see at your rank its not a problem, but for most people who can still see decent elites, best thing to do would be to join a decent legion. to Get as much CTP as they can and even ship-mods/npc drops.

Anyways best of luck to your one man legion. when your as strong as yourself, you can pretty much do anything.

Turns out, not as nifty as i thought it would be . My base does not have all of its CT Discoveries either :(

After research, it's safe to say....If you want to play the game. You may NEED a legion.
