After the first three, this one proved to be a challenge. I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do. Read on and provide feedback! Thanks!

Legion Mission Part Two Missions

Galakis, City of Deals If you succeed… Galakis under War

Galakis is under attack!
What? When? Who?

The pirates! They aren’t happy with all of our efforts in the region to increase trade! They’ve completely blockaded the planet and currently lay siege to our city!
We are on our way!

Hurry!
Dropping into orbit around the planet now!

Task 1: Emergence of the Pirate Lords
The Galakis Pirate Clan has brought out the best of their ships. While we were focused on the routes, they were preparing a way to shut us down permanently. Hunt down and destroy 30 Pirates.

Galakis Pirate Cruiser (Rank 400)
The Galakis Pirate Clan has made many upgrades to their previous fighter models. In spite of being larger, they are fast and well equipped for battle.
Hull: 150,000
Shields: none
Attack: 30,000
Defense: 20,000
Cloak: 10,000

Task Reward: Galakis Pirate Cannon (Weapon)
Upgrades the Galakis Pirate Ray into a Galakis Pirate Cannon. All bonuses double. Cannon also has Hull: 100 and Shields: 100 (Upgrades to 200% at 40% intervals)
Upkeep: 100M

***Note: Galakis Pirate Ray needs to be maxed before upgrading.

Task 2: Defending Galakis (FAILURE THREAT)
After disabling 250 of the Pirates attacking Galakis, get down to the planet and build the defenses up.

500 energy, 10 relay tower chassis, 30 crimson obelisks (30 times)

Task Reward: Galakis Mounted Turret
Size: 1; Mining: 1; Artifact: 1; Research: 2; Attack: 20%
If built on a planet with a Galakis Entry Port, the bonuses are doubled.

Task 3: Shutting down the Clan (FAILURE THREAT)
15 completions on task 2 need to be done before ships leave Galakis to go on this mission. We need to find and destroy their forward operating base. We believe it could be a lunar base orbiting a planet or possibly a small planetoid. We’ve built 30 locater drones per team assigned.
Scan for the base on a planet with moons or a small or smaller barren planet. 30 Planets will need to be scanned. Cost to use a locater drone is 600E.

Task Reward: Galakis Base Coordinates
Spawns an NPC on the battle tab called the Galakis Pirate Base
Galakis Pirate Base (Rank 500)

This is the pride and joy of the Galakis pirate clan. This powerful base is designed to withstand a heavy attack. Approaching it alone would be suicide.
10 Person boss
Hull: 4,000,000
Shields: 1,000,000
Attack: 75,000
Defense: 100,000
Cloak: 50,000; can't be found by any natural means
Abilities: Heavy Cannon Fire – strikes your ship and takes 20% of your hull and shields.
Galakis Rally – prevents improved mind influence from working.

Drops: Asteroid Base – 5%
Energy to use 2500. No size. This puts an asteroid base in orbit around a planet Very Massive or larger. 5k mining storage; 5k artifact storage; 5k research storage; mining: 4; artifact: 2; attack 25%.

Galakis Tactical advantage – 60%
Pick either 20% NPC attack, 10% base attack, or 5% PvP attack.

Galakis Cutter – 25%
Upgrades the Phase Cutter Chassis into a Galakis Cutter. The stats are doubled and additionally artifact: 1.

Galakis Pirate Cache – 10%
Gives 6 hours of production when opened.

If the mission is successful, all participants are awarded 5 relic badges.

the stats on these npcs are out of this world I would say 90% of the player base could not resoniable compleat this mission.

+1 b/c of good idea, boss npc is a bit too tough IMO, comm reply seems a bit short to be "official"
and something i just noticed

If this works out, I hope to be getting a few Asteroid Bases :D

I can go through and add cloak. The base cloak is not relevant since it appears at the use the the artifact a player gets from Task 3

I'm not happy with the requirements to build 15 turrets, as those turrets are the reward, and people would want to save them for their good planets.
Why not make task 2 : build 30 turrets on your planets. Size 5 Att 500 Att+30%.
When the mission expires, the turrets placed don't disappear (well, it's size 5 and giving no production... so...)
The turrets grant a one-time ability : Base Bombardment > reduces the def of currently locked base by 200
Can be used on any base, but only once per turret.

Task 3 :
Spawns a Clan Base right after the follow-up mission started. (optionally, it can be a base blockade)

(optionally, it can also appear in base scan for the remainder of the mission. This way, starting task 3 need to have clear base timer)
However, the def should be 'insane' : 100,000 def and 1m hull. It counts as a lv7 base (520 dmg cap) (or a r500 20 man elite with 2m hull)
Cannot be shared.
Does not have failure threat, but it is designed to have at least 450 turrets (15 completions) activated, bringing the def down to 10k before ready to be engaged.

im confused about task 1, do you need a fully upgraded pirate ray to upgrade it to a cannon, and then after that each cannon upgrades it by 40% or does the pirate cannon upgrade upgrade the mod 40% of the mod at a time or whatever?

the 15 turrets built just means completing the mission 15 times. Might have not been the clearest.

The Galakis pirate base is designed to be ridiculous. All the uppers are wantings new, stronger NPCs to test their cannons against. (I've used the base blockade once thanks to one of your suggestions ;) )

And Peticks, that would be the idea. I'll make that more clear.

ah yes, that's what I'm worried about. Glad it's not 'placing turrets you've earned' to unlock task 3 :)
