If Dan does not want our suggestion if nothing else as source of inspiration, I would appreciate that this thread would be removed or merged with The Galaxy Pub as subpart: "Keep dreaming"

If Dan wants to hear from us, would be polite (at least) to provide here and there some response what could be understood as appreciation from GM.

The threads could have rating or whatever to justify, which topic is most appealing to players active on GL forum. Otherwise, why bother/care about the future, if we are suppose to only play.

While it would be nice for Dan to occasionally weigh-in on ideas being kicked around here; I just don't see it happening anytime soon given his previous track record for interacting with the player base.

ffs just play and quitch b*tching about every single detail publicly. Half of the suggestions are comical at best.

Most of the suggestions are worded more like complaints and i wouldnt respond to a gaggle of whiners either particularly when they hover on every detail from mathematical formulas in damage cap to what should shouldnt could and might need a medal or XP or whatever.

Dont like the game? dont play but for the love of God stop whining.

I think Dan does read or peruse this area time to time. Either that or he has mystic powers to accomodate some of the ideas and desires over time that have been mentioned. Most likely , as many have stated, the game is or could be cycling down--paid with real life stuff and a vastly creative game with loads of things going on simulataneously---probably not easy to come up with creative, cool, and balanced stuff all the time to assauge the masses.

I play online xbox games and many have varieties of ways they could improve. Sometimes there are future versions, sometimes expansion sets. This is basically a text game, and in such it has still managed to keep a core following for such a long span of time. It continues to put out novel things and attempts to appeal to new people and old as well. In the USA we can barely elect a president who gets more than half the people to consent to his approval due to everyone having different opinions and desires.

I am still a Dan advocate and choose to believe he puts in effort for all of us. A bi monthly response email would be useful and perhaps not too time consuming, but then again I don't know his real life schedule. I have a family , a job, and kids, and manage to do other stuff. But then i can take or leave many things on a daily or weekly basis. Too many people seem to think Dan has 24/7 to answer emails, program code, do his day job, AND create new and continuing intricate solutions to a base of diametrically oposing player views and styles.

Kudos to Dan for keeping this thing going. I say dream big or go home. If there was no hope, people should let it go and move on. I say that as no attack on anyone, but more as a statement of futility, if you believe such is the case. I believe its fun, and just hope it can mutate and keep going .

you do see things inplimented from time to time that can to some extendt be traced back to player sugestions/complaints

a good example of that is the Rank 2200 Dark Mass-Carrier, that got added when a lot of players reached rank 2200, and complained that they no longer could find terraformers

he didnt give rank 2200 the T.O. troop carrier back, as a lot of them sugested
but he made the fix/update he thought the game needed


Dan does read both this forum and the Issues and Support,
if you look at Issues and Support, when theire is a bug in something that needs to be fixed asap Dan usealy answer

Nah, Dan might not implement our ideas and suggestions, but he still wants to hear some ideas to make some of his own ideas that are completely different or maybe secretly similar to the ones that we have on here.

The suggestions and idea's forum is basically a haven to help Dan think about what he should add to the game and reconsider what he might add.

He might consider the problems that we are trying to fix ourselves and make something else out of it to try to fix the problem in his own way or he might just move on to another suggestion to see if that one has a better solution.

We are just here to help or attempt to help Dan do some of the thinking to solve problems he might not be sure about.
