New drop from a new rare NPC.

NPC rank range 200 to 9999.
__artifact name___ = Allows you to block 1 common NPC of your choice from your bt for 4 hours. Costs 400 nrg and 5 containment cages. So if you choose the Dark Runner, then you will not see any Dark Runners in your bt for that time, and it will increase your odds of getting all other npc's.

Just an idea.

nope i can see this being abused by many of us higher ranks by using it a few times and having all common npcs blocked so only the good stuff shows up think about it only having grivv primes and stuff like that showing up in all 8 of your slots yes i love them but as i said i can see it being abused so no

It sounds like you can only have 1 active at a time right, not block ALL types of commons using multiple ones simultaneously? meh, I like it.

My thought was this would be an unlockable from an upgraded modules... perhaps something like remove 1 for 30 minutes or some such.

I like that, even if it's reduced duration, it is still helpful. At first I thought that Darmos ally would do this but not so sure anymore.

Yes, you would only be able to block 1 at a time. So you'd still get the other common's but one of them would not spawn for whatever time frame it was.

I like it being an unlockable ability from an ally or ship mod or something like that.

*Edit - sending the idea to Dan

Well there are currently 5 common NPC's with the 'assassins' being the newest of the lot.

The only way I can see this being OP is if you could block 'flame hawks', would be way OP that way.

Yep, but I would block flamehawks in a heartbeat, as I imagine would pretty much anyone who could.
If you can't block flamehawks then I don't really see the point of the whole thing.

As it is, I don't think it's a great idea because the only thing it would be really useful for is the same thing that would make it too OP.

as Hallucinations, sayed we "only" have 5 common NPC's at high rank

Stryll Assassin - drops Dark badges, matched in most cases less then 5 hits to kill depending on your rank (you dont want to block this one as you can never get enougth dark badges)

Rogue Tech Collector - drops CTP's, less then 2 hits to kill (you dont want to block this one, as you want the CTP's they give)

Dark Runner - no drop, 1 shot kill, - so doesnt matter mutch

Sha'din Charger, no drop, 1 shoot kill - so doesnt matter mutch

Crimson Flamehawk, drops Crimson Amplifier/Crimson Obelisk - minimum of 7 shoots to kill no matter what rank you are

Blocking the Crimson Flamehawk would be OP, but at the same time it the only common NPC you realy wants to block - Dark Runner and Sha'din Charger hardly matters once you can 1 hit kill them

so if you cant block Crimson Flamehawk, the only thing it could be used for would be to block a new mission NPC like the Crimson Cutlass, where you only needed to kill 10 every 20 hours as the mission was daily
