Remove the research points number on the top UI. Why do we get to know how much research we have at any time but Mineral and Artifact production can only be viewed from one tab?

Remove counters until next shipment from both the trade and research tabs. Replace with one along the top bar.

* Add in three symbols, WITHOUT LABELS, to signify minerals, artifacts or research. If you have zero in this resource, they appear grayscale (or for arti, less than 250). If you have minerals/artifacts/research to collect/spend, then these symbols will be colourful.

Rounds the numbers on the credit counter like the research contract does. I have, at this moment in time, 1,078,211,854,082. This could easily be expressed as 1.1T

Update the badges for rank to include the rank 1000 badge that we see in the medal for reaching rank 1000. Seriously, it can't be hard.

Remove "points" from the GP counter and also remove the "Redeem points" button; click on the GP symbol should open up the GP window.

Remove the Galaxy Legion logo completely, or add it as a watermark behind the top UI. We know what game we're playing.

Galaxy Clock always open. Why does it even close? If this causes a problem for mobile users, leave it shut but I'm pretty sure it's always counting away in the background anyway.

Increase the size of the energy, hull and shield bars. Change the colour of shields to a vibrant turquoise; seriously, it's hard to read right now. In addition, remove "Energy" "Hull" and "Shields" from next to the bars. Hovering over a bar causes these tags to appear; we all learn damn quick what these mean so those words are just cluttering up the place.

* Remove "Play music" and just have the music symbol. Glowing = on, not glowing = off. Replace "Animation on/off" with something else too.

Remove every single damn blue question mark for which there is something else to hover over already. E.G. Minerals, Artifacts and every artifact name on the trade tab and Production on the research tab. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure ALL blue question marks have this present and the text for these is bold in every case. THE BLUE QUESTION MARKS ARE UGLY AND UNNECESSARY.

Remove the god damn "Buy Artifacts (4)" button from the trade tab. It's... It's just useless. And ugly. AND YOU DON'T CHANGE THE NUMBER, EVER.

That's it... For now.

Ones which have asterisks next to them? I will be making photoshop versions of these to show off what I mean and give Dan free license to use them in the game if he so wishes (I'll be posting .png files with backgrounds, but will provide .psd files with transparent backgrounds to Dan directly if he wishes). I will sign something more formal if he wants me to. You hear that, Dan? FREE. Doesn't get better than that. If you want to make things "official" or something that free might not do, you can pay me a paltry amount of money in exchange for the stuff I provide.

Decided to go whole hog and re-do the UI using the suggested changes I made. This is just a possible different version of the UI.

Oh, BTW, that looks like crap. Don't bother rearranging things either, because there's nothing wrong with the top bar as is. Maybe ditch the research display, but that's it.

Someone disagreed with removing the banner, so I left it in. The top bar is fairly cluttered and not amazingly well organised. Of particular note is the fact that with larger ranks, the rank symbols simply don't fit. This is, in my opinion, better organised. Things concerning your ship go on the left, things concerning just the game in general go on the right. Would you care to be more specific about your criticisms or do you have yet to learn the phase "constructive criticism" in school?

Sorry, I am not a fan of your proposed changes.
Removing labels is not, imo, a good idea and even with the removal of text your design still manages to feel cluttered and unbalanced.

Fair enough. I did another version, but I'm not suggesting that this be the actual exactly new layout I'm just changing it based on the suggestions I made. The labels seemed redundant; you learn them within a day of playing the game and this would still be true after the change if hovering over the bars popped up "Energy" or "Hull".

To be honest, I don't see any difference between the "have MP" and "don't have MP" icons. In any case, it's irrelevant because you should know "on the first day of playing" what time you get your points anyway. Also, unless you're unfortunate enough to get your AP raided to zero, that icon will be lit up all the time, rendering just as irrelevant.

As I said before, it's fine as it is.

Like I said, it's not the exact suggestion I just hoped to embody the concept. Also, if you go back and read the first post then you'll notice that I specified the AP icon would not light up unless you had at least 250 AP. After 3 years of playing I still don't know the exact time my production comes in.

Indeed I do. I check those bars a lot more often than I stare at my trade tab waiting on the next hour's worth of production.
