Again, something probably someone already suggested, but here goes.

I'd like to see something like the Mylarai build extractors but for ship components. It would be limited to ones that came as artifacts and would return them to that state.

As silly as it sounds, I installed some mission artifacts that turned out not to be as good as I thought. While I want to keep them around for when I have no other way to expand, I don't have enough cargo space to tote them around.

Probably a low level issue, but still.

You ever tried to put something back in the box after you've assembled it?

Heh. Plenty of times, usually when I had to take it apart again so I could ship it back. Plus I've never had nanomachines to help me.

For mistakes like this contacting Dan usually results in "Yeah sure, I'll do the repacking back to your cargo". ;)
In case you hide your reason for race-specific, or similar, modules, I'll tell Dan's answer "Tell me when you changed to that race/prof, and I'll gladly upgrade it". -> if you're lucky, Dan might sent some tesseract containers to upgrade your cargo ;)

And back to the suggestion : -1. I see why you ask for this, but no, I don't think we need it :)

Open mass storage pod. Problem solved

I don't think cargo space is an issue at all. However, going through page after page of module (grouped only in 5s) when the arrows move up and down depending on the modules listed for each individual module you want to install/uninstall (twice as many times if the modules also need repair) is unnecessarily painful. Packing modules away (or hiding them as was recently suggested) is a good idea.

Or Dan sets it to where the page doesn't jump after one click. Another solution would be to have a filter on the modules panel.

But that's a separate issue. -1 to the ship module extractors. Sorry mate, just don't see the point of it when there are other solutions to solve the same problem.

If you don't have cargo space for uninstalled modules, it's likely that you've not been playing long enough to have accumulated many special modules in the first place. This is an issue that does not need any attention.
