i sent a pm to MrSpock suggesting that he pin a topic in the beginners forum for this sort of thing. could also double as an 'introduction' thread.

heck, since Dan is working on a tutorial for the game, maybe we should have a tutorial for the forum lol. here are some ideas that could be included:

- post an introduction topic in the beginners forum, indicating what brought you to the game and to the forum

- post a topic in the legion forum if you are not in a legion and what you are looking for OR if you are in a legion already, post a reply in your legion's recruitment topic indicating why you joined

- post a reply to a suggestion topic

- create and edit a signature

- send a pm to the wiki admin to set up a wiki account

An introduction thread? Seriously? The Hub turns yellow too much already with all the people posting logs that nobody care about and "how's my ship" garbage that's the same as the last guy's "how's my ship" garbage. Best way to introduce yourself is to just start posting, people will get to know you well enough. No one cares if you're a middle aged retail hardware salesman in southern West Virginia anyway.
